Job Description and Qualifications
To help support a daring growth strategy and rapidly growing project portfolio we're looking for an additional Instrument Designer to be based in the Rotterdam.

Key tasks & responsibilities - what you'll be doing;
The successful candidate will work as part of the organization in the EMEA Process Controls & Instruments Engineering team and will perform the following;

  • Supporting the development and documentation of instrument design strategies.
  • 3D modelling of equipment using Smart3D.

Generating deliverables such as;

  • Instrument Index, Instrument Location Layouts, Cable Schedules, Wiring Diagrams/ Schematics, Instrument Hook-Ups, Instrument Power Distribution, Material Take Offs / Bill of Quantities, Control Room and Analyzer Room Layouts and Cable Routing Layouts.
  • Attending model reviews
  • Carrying out detailed design of Analyser panels, DCS and Hardwired trip panels
  • Ensuring compliance with company or project standards and specifications.
  • Reviewing and interpreting vendor documents.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines to co-ordinate design
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities
  • Occasional travel to sites across Europe & Middle East to support Construction, as well as travel to Global Engineering & Design offices in India for project collaboration and support.


As an Instrument Designer, you will have:

  • HNC in Instrumentation or equivalent, with relevant experience in an engineering design or operating organisation, preferably from within the Process Industry.
  • Working knowledge of Smart Instrumentation, Smart3D.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative, as well as supporting the wider team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling collaboration with colleagues located in multiple geographies, and to liaise directly with suppliers and clients.
  • The ability to undertake international travel for inspection, construction contractor supervision or commissioning.
  • High level of practical engineering knowledge to develop cost effective designs. Relevant practical site experience, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded.

Job Description and Qualifications
We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager, to join our client based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. You will collaborate with the Regional Subcontracts Manager on several EPC projects.

As the Project Procurement Manager:
Act as a single point of contact between the Procurement team and the Project Execution team
  • Advise the Procurement team and work closely with the Project Manager to successfully plan and execute the Capital Procurement scope within GEMTE Capital projects.
  • Develop Project Procurement Strategy aligned with overall Project Execution Strategy
  • Compile and maintain Project Material Registry to plan and track equipment and material status including supporting site teams with delivery updates and status.
  • Prepare and issue inquiries, requisitions, and purchase orders according to the project schedule
  • Negotiate with suppliers to acquire globally competitive price, delivery, and contract terms
  • Collaborate closely with Expeditors, Inspection Leads, and Transportation Specialists to ensure the accurate level of interventions required are handled for approval of Purchase Order requirements against the schedule.
  • Maintain Commercial interface with suppliers. Handle warranty claims, back charges, and liquidated damages
  • Handle budget for Capital Procurement scope of the project, including the equipment/materials costs as well as the Procurement hours expended

You will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Engineering or Business Management
  • Extensive experience in Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project environment
  • Experience in issuance and managing execution of requisitions/purchase orders for material, equipment, and services
  • Accreditation from Supply Chain industry organization (i.e., MCIPS, CPSM)
  • Knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice, including aspects of negotiation and contract law
  • Familiar with SAP and SmartPlant Materials
  • Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing strategies and procurement work processes
