We are currently supporting a client, one of the leading global industrial gas owner/operator companies, in finding a Lead Document Controller to join their team in the Hague.
The role's objective is to manage all document control resources on a project as per the work processes established by the global document management system and regional requirements.


The candidate must have proven experience in document management systems and technology applications that are broadly adopted by the project delivery organization. The candidate should have experience with in-depth knowledge of typical document management system workflow and be able to supervisor document controller technicians on the project. This individual will work closely with all key stakeholders, including Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, and Project Controls to implement a robust work processes and drive efficiencies of the document control team within the project

Critical Competencies

  • Knowledge of document control work processes in the project execution and operations handover
  • Strong working knowledge of applications used on large projects, e.g., Documentum, Coreworx, Opentext, Aconex, etc.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong facilitative skills, including presenting to cross cultures and geographies.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of technical and commercial document control management process.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in leading the document control effort
  • Experience in executing projects using document management processes

Job Description and Qualifications

We are looking for Senior Principal Mechanical Engineers with significant industry experience to join the engineering team based in The Hague, NL, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager EMEA.

There are currently three positions available, each requiring slightly different mechanical expertise;

  • Static Equipment (pressure vessels, columns, storage tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, flares, vaporisers etc.)
  • Rotating Equipment/Machinery (compressors, pumps, blowers, packaged equipment etc.)
  • Fired Equipment (SMR, furnaces, flares, incinerators, heaters and heat exchangers etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requisitioning engineer for the planning, specification and subsequent purchase order management of a range of mechanical equipment which may include Pressure Vessels, Dehydration Packages, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment, Reformers, Adsorption Skids, Clarifiers, Pumps, Compressors and similar.
  • Competent to undertake the design and analysis of equipment typical of the above.
  • Reviewing customer technical requirements to prepare execution strategies, technical specification packages for enquiry/purchase and undertaking technical evaluations and risk assessment of supplier proposals, coordinating the necessary cross-functional input to support this.
  • Ability to act as a lead engineer where required, coordinating workload to meet schedule, quality and budget requirements together with timely reporting on status and progress for themselves and for members of their team who may in the UK or overseas.
  • Liaising with other engineering functions and coordinating cross-functional reviews of supplier designs and documentation to facilitate the integration of purchased equipment into the overall plant design.
  • Able to support the Mechanical discipline in the preparation of hours and resource estimates, P&ID reviews, HAZOP, model reviews.
  • Willing to undertake witness inspections and acceptance testing of purchased equipment.
  • Resolving customer or joint-venture partner comments on equipment selections.
  • Providing technical support throughout construction and commissioning phases of projects retaining overall technical responsibility for equipment during and after successful handover.
  • Willing to undertake international travel to equipment suppliers and site locations at appropriate times throughout the project delivery.

Requirements, Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), European Engineer (EUR ING) or equivalent affiliation with a professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience in the specification, evaluation and engineering of a range of equipment types in an EPC project environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of International Codes and experience with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and CE/UKCA marking.
  • Experience in commissioning or operations within working facilities, able to demonstrate fault finding, issue resolution and decision-making skills is desirable.
  • Experience with equipment in cryogenic, ammonia or hydrogen service is desirable.
  • Engineering software skills, examples include: Compress, Aspen, HTRI, ANSYS.
  • A demonstrable understanding of cross-functional interfaces and overcoming the associated challenges in an EPC environment for process facilities.
  • Experience leading or supervising engineers both in the home office and overseas would be desirable.
  • Highly competent written and spoken communication and able to use a range of standard software such as MS Word and MS Excel to prepare technical documents and to write technical reports.

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in the European Electrical Engineering Operations Department for a Principal Electrical Engineer. Collaborating with the European Electrical Manager Production, the position encompasses all functional aspects of electrical work on operating plants. You will provide technical guidance and support to electrical engineers, designers, technicians and contractors. Also, you will be required to provide support for breakdown, commissioning, maintenance and installation activities.

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Project related

  • Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager and leading the electrical scope of work on a range of proposals and projects executed in the EMEAI region.
  • Provide electrical engineering expertise by taking ownership for our operating plants to ensure that the equipment is installed, operated and maintained correctly
  • Assigning tasks to the Electrical Design teams, providing supervision and technical expertise to ensure delivery against time and quality constraints.
  • Liaising with existing suppliers and outsourcing partners, seeking additional partners to add value to company and customer projects.
  • Defining execution models for electrical engineering scope, monitoring performance and developing improved processes where appropriate based on lessons learned.

Plant support related

  • Work on a wide range of electrical equipment including electrical protection relays, low voltage and high voltage distribution systems, large induction and synchronous motors and generators
  • Carry out plant electrical load studies, motor starting studies, fault level calculations, protection and arc-flash studies
  • Provide trouble shooting assistance to field electrical engineers remotely
  • Become involved in the development of the wider company electrical community and electrical safety reviews and provide feedback to the electrical engineering design office

As the Electrical Engineer, you will have:

  • Electrical Engineering degree preferable with a chartered engineer qualification or equivalent and at least 15 years' experience in an industrial operation engineering position
  • Proven experience in electrical power engineering in a design function within the industrial gas, petrochemical or an allied industry
  • Experience in specification and procurement of low, medium and high voltage Switchgear, Power transformers and Power electronics (LCI's, VSD's and Thyristor Controllers)
  • The ability to work with software packages for analysis of power systems (e.g. SKM Powertools or ETAP)
  • Detailed technical understanding and practical knowledge of MV and LV induction & synchronous motors / generators, transformers, switchgears - including protection and control, and experience with variable speed drive and soft start systems and instrument power distribution with uninterruptible power supply systems
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with fluent written and spoken English
  • A sound knowledge of hazardous area equipment selection and application.
  • Experience associated with electrical systems of process plants in operations, planning and scheduling, engineering in project environment
  • Background in three of the following areas associated with electrical systems: project management, FEED, detailed engineering, maintenance, and reliability & efficiency improvement

We are looking for an experienced Principal Civil & Structural Designer. As the Lead/Principal Civil & Structural Designer, you will have:

  • Civil and Structural experience in a Process Design Industry is a basic requirement.
  • Extensive knowledge in the use of Smart Plant 3D for modelling and drawing production
  • Proficient in the use of Microstation
  • Shall be thoroughly proficient in the modelling and detailing of civil foundations and steelwork Structures from Concept FEED stage to issue of IFC drawings
  • Have experience with the modelling and detail design of gravity drainage systems a benefit
  • Shall be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Dutch speaking is preffered

We are looking for an experienced Process Systems Engineer with 12 years plus of experience with a strong focus on P&ID development during feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detail design.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with or have strong previous background in P&ID development, with a good understanding of process engineering, controls systems, operations, and process safety as well.

Accountabilities:
* Develop and manage project P&ID's, Shutdown Tables, and critical safety systems for bids, projects, and products.
* Support front end bid development and scope definition.
* Participate in PFD reviews.
* Lead P&ID review meetings (Operability, Hazard Reviews, etc.) and manage the resolution of technical issues raised by the project team.
* Participate in hazard reviews and other safety evaluations (SIL, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.)
* Drive the work process within a multi-disciplined project team to produce a project specific P&ID ensuring that plant reliability, operability and maintenance capabilities are considered
* Ensure that P&IDs are produced in accordance with company standards/procedures and any customer specific requirements.
* Coordinate and lead the resolution of functional issues involving plant reliability, operability, and maintenance.
* Develop P&ID execution strategy and engineering hours estimate for bids.
* Participate in 3D model reviews.
* Participate in plot plan development activities.
* Manage interfaces and tie ins with customer and other plants within the facilities.
* Opportunity to participate in field commissioning activities.
* Opportunity to participate in DCS staging and field validation.
* Expected travel (domestic and international) up to 20% of the time.

Your Profile:
* Dutch native speaking or full working proficiency.
* Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
* A minimum of 10 years' work experience for an industrial gas company or an EPC firm.
* Demonstrated experience in new plant engineering or plant process engineering with a focus on plant operations and start-ups.
* Demonstrated ability to make balanced decisions weighing operability, reliability, capital costs and operating costs.
* Experienced with green hydrogen production facilities would be ideal.
* A balanced multi-discipline understanding in Process Engineering, DCS/PLC Controls, Process
Safety, and equipment/plant design is a plus
* Use of tools such as Bluebeam, Smart Plant PID, Smart Plant 3D Review, and Adobe is a strong
plus.

Description

  • Provide construction guidance to projects and proposals throughout all project phases, using construction knowledge and experience.
  • Assist with aspects of the project construction strategies, execution planning, and contracting strategy.

  • Assist with construction feasibility and method studies.

Qualifications/Experience Required

You will have:

  • Proven experience in ASU construction including detailed knowledge of O2 installations and clean build techniques
  • Trade discipline background, with Degree or similar with equivalent experience in a construction-related position in Electrical, Instrument, Piping/Mechanical disciplines
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with construction plans and specifications, tracking RFIs and submittals, and developing project documentation
  • Experience tracking and analysing cost and schedule and knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Willingness to travel throughout Europe, Middle East, and North Africa lead site activities in challenging geographies
  • Ability to supervise multiple trade disciplines to include but not limited to; Civil & Structural, Piling, Mechanical and E&I
  • Have oversight and knowledge of HSE, Quality and Completions system handover

Job Overview;

As Site Construction Manager you'll ensure the efficient and effective execution on site during the Construction phase of regional on-site projects, and to provide support during the Commissioning phase.

Job Purpose:

  • Developing winning Construction and Commissioning Strategies and EHS plans which support the overall project goals
  • Providing construction input to the project throughout the engineering phase

  • Proven Construction Safety experience and knowledge, covering key area's such as Lifting and Cranage, working at heights and Fall Arrest, Confined Space entry, Hot Work, Oxygen cleaning and inspection, pneumatic pressure testing
