Job Title: Marine Engineering Manager
Location: Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced Marine Engineering Manager to deliver & oversee the marine terminal scope from initial design through to implementation and operation for a key client of ours based in the Netherlands.
As the Marine Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Oversight and direction of all engineering execution activities associated with the jetty and marine interfaces within the Downstream portfolio of projects.
* Develop and maintain functional specifications covering jetty and marine requirements.
* During project development, establish strategies for all phases of Engineering and Design
* Define scopes of work for external engineering consultants, develop tender packages and evaluate bidders
* During the EPC phase, oversee work of consultants in the review of deliverables prepared by the EPC contractor
* Establish consistent best practices for marine design and execution across the portfolio of projects, ensuring proper communication and implementation to individual project teams
* Ensures effective technical coordination between client and other stakeholders
* Ensures all changes are managed in accordance with the project procedures
* Ensures that lessons learned for engineering are clearly identified, recorded and communicated.
* Develop the requirements for a team to be hired to assist in the execution of the defined strategy. Lead the high-performing engineering team, motivate the team members to successfully complete the project
* Maintain a safe work environment and support corporate and organizational safety goals across all aspects of the work; in the office, with suppliers; at fabrication and field sites; and in the operational phase
* Ensure Risk Management procedures are followed, and any issues addressed/resolved.
You will have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
* Proven track record in the management of basic and detailed engineering activities.
* Strong organizational, communication and facilitation skills.
* Ability to bring team together to achieve project targets and goals.
* Good commercial awareness with ability to manage change.

Job Description and Qualifications

We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager, to join our client based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. You will collaborate with the Regional Subcontracts Manager on several EPC projects.

As the Project Procurement Manager:
Act as a single point of contact between the Procurement team and the Project Execution team
  • Advise the Procurement team and work closely with the Project Manager to successfully plan and execute the Capital Procurement scope within GEMTE Capital projects.
  • Develop Project Procurement Strategy aligned with overall Project Execution Strategy
  • Compile and maintain Project Material Registry to plan and track equipment and material status including supporting site teams with delivery updates and status.
  • Prepare and issue inquiries, requisitions, and purchase orders according to the project schedule
  • Negotiate with suppliers to acquire globally competitive price, delivery, and contract terms
  • Collaborate closely with Expeditors, Inspection Leads, and Transportation Specialists to ensure the accurate level of interventions required are handled for approval of Purchase Order requirements against the schedule.
  • Maintain Commercial interface with suppliers. Handle warranty claims, back charges, and liquidated damages
  • Handle budget for Capital Procurement scope of the project, including the equipment/materials costs as well as the Procurement hours expended

You will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Engineering or Business Management
  • Extensive experience in Technical, Engineering, Commercial or Project environment
  • Experience in issuance and managing execution of requisitions/purchase orders for material, equipment, and services
  • Accreditation from Supply Chain industry organization (i.e., MCIPS, CPSM)
  • Knowledge of commercial purchasing procedures and practice, including aspects of negotiation and contract law
  • Familiar with SAP and SmartPlant Materials
  • Ability to bring teams together to resolve issues and achieve targets and goals
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing strategies and procurement work processes
