Principal Civil and Structural Designer (Dutch-Speaking)

Our Client is world leader in hydrogen production and a first mover developing and executing low carbon hydrogen megaprojects driving the energy transition. Their core competency is an ability to develop, execute, own, and operate some of the world's largest and most complex industrial gas projects.

The Principal Process Systems Engineer is based at their offices 5 days a week. The Hague, Netherlands.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Civil & Structural Designer. As the Lead/Principal Civil & Structural Designer, you will have:

• Civil and Structural experience in a Process Design Industry is a basic requirement.
• Extensive knowledge in the use of Smart Plant 3D for modelling and drawing production
• Proficient in the use of Microstation
• Shall be thoroughly proficient in the modelling and detailing of civil foundations and steelwork Structures from Concept FEED stage to issue of IFC drawings
• Have experience with the modelling and detail design of gravity drainage systems a benefit
• Shall be able to work with limited supervision.
• Dutch speaking is preffered

Your Background

• An all-round flexible Civil and Structural Designer
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight schedule deadlines.
• Able to liaise effectively with other disciplines and design offices..
• Involved in the upfront conceptual work for projects .( interpret Topo surveys, Geotechnical borehole location plans , drainage concept strategy, site preparation drawings , Building layouts.)
• Able to use own initiative to develop solutions to detailing challenges.
• Review the work by Other Designers giving consideration to construction costs and making an effective contribution to identify and resolve any issues..
• Assist the Department in keeping up with national codes and specification for the detail design scope.
• Bring experience to suggest new economical ways in designing the work
• He/she will be required to work independently representing the Civil Department and be effective in promoting and supporting all aspects of the work done in the Department.
