MISSIONS/ SERVICE DIMENSIONS

During the FEED and EPSCC Phase, the Service holder is in charge to:
* lead and manage the civil and structure engineering team, composed of engineers with focus on the successful and timely project execution;
* provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to their discipline.
* provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to civil-structure discipline and subject related to seismicity;
* provide support to, challenge the FEED Contractors in the optimization exercise in particular with regards to modularization philosophy.
* Promote alternatives design to optimize, cost, works and schedule;
* timely review and comment FEED engineering documents and consolidate comments related to civil and structural deliverables; liaise with other disciplines and/or entities as required when coordinating Company comments;
* provide expertise, to compare and evaluate the CPF-Wellpads FEED in particular in the evaluation of the modularization solutions;
* conduct studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management;
* ensure engineering consistency, constructability, operability and flexibility of the design solutions;
* ensure that the engineering activities related to civil - structure and seismic design matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost; * prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP STR and CIV in ep-derog system, follow up the instruction by Head Office experts to ensure timely answer; * provide prompt responses to engineering queries and unexpected technical issues to FEED Contractors;
* support preparation and participate in technical reviews and audits (PR, DER, etc�£�), provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in discipline;
* ensure reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions

During the EPC Phase: The Service holder is in charge to:

* timely review and comment detail engineering documents and consolidate comments related to civil and structure deliverables; in liaison with other Company Project team members as required;
* ensure compliance of the civil and structure engineering deliverables with Project requirements;
*prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP CIV and STR in ep-derog system, follow up the instruction by Head Office experts to ensure timely answer; -
* ensure consistency of civil and structure engineering studies between the different Work Packages.
* conduct studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management.
* assist the Company Procurement Team, in the supervision of the procurement, inspection and tests during fabrication activities related to the discipline. * support preparation and participate in Project technical reviews, provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in the discipline.
* ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions.

Job Purpose:

• Responsible to source and execute Operations strategic contracts and the daily execution of the Operations Procurement objectives and strategy
• Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for sourcing and contracting for Upstream Facility

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
1. Demand Planning/Concept/Strategy Development

• Review annual business plan to understand forward demand and document key findings, priorities and assumptions from spend and contracts and build the contract strategy
• Analyse the Strategic Procurement category business landscape, spend by sub-category and by supplier
• Develop and execute complex strategic categories' go-to-market tender strategy

2. Contracting and Souring/Tendering

• Develop and execute complex (high value and or high risk) tenders, this includes tender requests, tender evaluation, negotiations and supplier due diligence
• Incorporate Local Content during sourcing processes and ensure that the categories meet the Local Content requirements
• Secure complex Strategic Procurement contracts (drafting, negotiating and signing) and ensure proper storage of contracts
• Conduct large Strategic Procurement contracts price revisions according to 'rise and fall formulas'

3. Stakeholder Relationship Management

• Drive complex contracts obligations and comply with the terms and conditions of the contract
• Provide oversight and conduct complex Strategic Procurement contracts renewal and closure, and communicate the updates with relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with and develop suppliers to create sustainable long-term relationships
• Support internal and external audits where required
• Identify opportunities to create synergies across the business to obtain increased value from the overall Procurement contract portfolio
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Operations sourcing and contracting

4. Leadership/People Management

• Assist in the development and implementation of capability development initiatives to improve Procurement outcomes
• Uphold and work within the company values management with end users to ensure that suppliers deliver their performance

Education:

• University educated to at least Bachelor's degree level
• Recognised Procurement and/or Supply Chain qualification desirable

Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in sourcing and contract execution and management
• Demonstrate appropriate skill in sourcing negotiation and execution
• Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set
• Strong facilitation, business, analytical, problem solving, communication and project management capabilities
• Experience in the oil and gas sector desirable
• Operations experience is desirable

Pipeline Engineering

Specific responsibilities during pipeline FEED Phase:
* To supervise and coordinate the pipelines engineering related activities performed by FEED Contractors for the Onshore Pipelines.
* To provide expertise with regards to his discipline.
* To provide support to challenge the FEED contractors and promote alternatives design to optimize the cost, work, and schedule.
* To timely review and comment FEED engineering documents and consolidate comments related to pipelines deliverables; liaise with other engineering specialist(s) (for ex. Corrosion, Geotechnical), and entity (Operations, HSE�£�) as required. It will focus on all engineering documents related to the onshore part.
* To ensure that the engineering activities related to the onshore pipelines matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, codes (DNV), and standards, contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project highly environmentally sensitive environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost.
* To prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP PLR, follow up the instruction from Head Office experts to ensure timely answer.
* To contribute to the studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to the Project Management.
* To contribute to the LLI procurement CFT documents preparation ensuring coordination with the Company Procurement Team,
* To contribute to the EPC CFT documents preparation ensuring coordination with the Project management Team,
* To support the preparation and participate to Project technical reviews, provides answers, and ensure timely implementation of the findings.
* To ensure proper reporting, highlight critical issues, and propose remedial actions

Lead Project Operations Engineer
Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for a Lead Project Operations Engineer offshore rolling contract basis. The client is a tier 1 EPC operating within both O&G and renewables. They have offices across the globe along with one of the biggest fleets in the industry.
As such we are recruiting for an Engineer with a wealth of industry experience across large projects, in particular Logistics Supports, Mobilisations, Field Engineering. As Lead you must support tenders, logistics, planners and Engineers across all disciplines.
You must be able to commit to a split between office and remote work.
Location: London / Paris / Remote

Core Competencies/Requirements:
* A higher education qualification in engineering at master level or relevant industry (Energy) experience
* Experience in offshore subsea construction with an emphasis on HSE having worked on board installation vessels

* The Ability to participate in Vessel mobilisation as well as installation phases on vessel in order to validate technical solutions by conforming to HSEQ criteria

• Providing Inputs to the Project Execution Strategy
• Development of the construction execution plan
• Support the customer with the module fabrication yard tender process.
• Update as required the contract Invitation to Tender documentation
• Assist in the development of the project schedule
• Provide input to offshore installation methods
• Providing input in the development of the project schedule
• Updating the project modularisation strategy
• Conduct module fabrication yard site visits as and when required
• Develop the project path of construction
• Development of site plans for execution phases of the project
• Prepare and conduct the project constructability workshop(s)
• Participate in project risk reviews
• Provide construction input to the various engineering disciplines
• Previous FEED experience working on FPSO is essential. The position may also require frequent visits to site.

Senior Naval Architect
Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for two Senior Naval Architect's to come on board on a contract basis. The client is a tier 1 consultant EPC operating within both O&G and renewables. They have offices across Europe and the Globe and support one of the worlds biggest operators on all their global activities.
As such we are recruiting for a couple of Senior Naval Architects with a wealth of industry experience across projects including one of floating facilities, Fixed platforms, pipelines and subsea installation structures. The role will involve working directly in the Operations and Naval team and can be conducted remotely with the expectation of the odd trip to site/office.

The role is likely to be deemed outside of IR35 subject to a status determination.

The candidate will have the primary responsibility for the technical delivery of one or more projects across pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in management of engineering teams in the delivery of brownfield electrical infrastructure projects (132kV and below) to international (IEC) standards, preferably in an oil & gas environment.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Design management

• Design basis
• Prepare, issue, and maintain a project design basis document. Changes to the document after issue should be considered changes to the scope of work.
• Establish and communicate applicable regulatory requirements to engineering personnel and ensure compliance with those regulations.
• Design Method
• Monitor the quality of engineering specifications which define the work to be completed by others.
• Monitor the quality of engineering product.
• Initiate and own the preparation, issuance and update of a major equipment list throughout the engineering phase of the project.
• Train, develop & mentor the team
• Design Assurance
• Implement quality assurance methods in accordance with the Quality Management System
• Plan and implement reviews of the engineering method and products
• Plan and implement a method to ensure the integrity of the overall design
• Design Interfaces
• Develop and implement methods to effectively interface all engineering activities including multiple offices, joint venture partners, third party engineering services and clients.
• Develop and implement methods to effectively interface with (non-engineering) third parties on the project, including Project Management, HSE Management, Quality Management, Procurement & Materials Management, Information Management, Project Controls Management, Construction Management, Licensors, Suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation of bid packages, purchase orders and subcontracts for equipment and bulk items by preparing technical requisition packages and technical evaluations.

Key Attributes / skills:

• Proficient oral and written communications skills. Collaborates well in a team environment
• Demonstratable flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines.
• Ability to works things through with clients to resolve issues, including conflicting demands, sensitive situations, and conflicts with other groups.
