Job Description

On behalf of An Oil and gas Operator Petroplan are looking for a IT Contractor Local based in their London office in Chiswick on a short term contractual basis till the end of December this year.

Responsibilities;

* Focal point within IS for all public/private cloud, storage, virtualisation and backup technologies.
* Design, manage and maintain architecture for public/private cloud, storage, virtualisation and backup technologies.
* Ensure backup, DR and storage archival services are setup as per business need for the on-prem and cloud services.
* Ensure high availability and quality of cloud & storage services.
* Manage cloud licensing effectively.
* Act as technical lead and SME for Storage, Virtualisation and Backup services
* Manage the outsourced services to ensure services are delivered in accordance with company standards.
* Vendor and outsource provider management for relevant technologies.
* Ensure cloud platform delivery its full potential and maximise the benefits to our employees.
* Clearly understand opportunities and benefits to maximise ROI and continuously strive to communicate this to key stakeholders to support adoption.
* Manage and maintain on premise devices in our UK data centres.
* Day to day management of outsource/managed service providers and relevant vendors.
* Overall responsible for public/private cloud, storage, virtualisation and backup related projects and initiatives as per Digitalisation roadmap
* Ensure the cloud and storage estate technical architecture is well documented, understood and maintained.
* Work closely with outsource provider to ensure cloud and storage related ticket & queries are being resolved effectively.
* Review and approve cloud related change request.
* Conduct regular review meeting with outsource provider to ensure agreed SLA are being met.
* Work with outsource provider to ensure cloud best practice approach is adopted.
* Manage relationship with relevant vendors. Act is point of contact for all technical escalations.
* Work closely with Software Asset Management to ensure licences meet the requirements.
* Manage relationships and coordinate work between different IS teams at different locations ensuring they have input and are part of the journey.
* Manage relationships with all suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor their progress and adherence to the contract.
* Regular capacity and performance monitoring of the infrastructure raising any capacity issues early.
* Regular review of firmware and software of the on premise infrastructure to ensure vendor compliance and support is maintained.
* Review and exploit any new features resulting from upgrades that will reduce complexity, cost and improve both operational efficiency and the service.
* Attend UK Data centres as required for any hardware management for storage and back up services.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Experience on designing and management of multiple public cloud platforms.
* In depth knowledge/experience of public/private cloud, storage, virtualisation and backup technologies.
* Key Technologies: Isilon, Rubrik, Networker, VmWare, Nutanix, AWS, Azure, Dell Server hardware, SAN administration skills,Cisco MDS switches, PTL tape library management
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, including senior executives.
* Ability to handle many tasks / projects simultaneously.
* Ability to compel suppliers to high performance standards.

Project Engineer - FLNG
Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for a Project Engineer to join in office/site on a 12 Month initial contract. The client is a major operator within the energy market with assets all over the globe. As Project Engineer you will provide Multi Discipline Support and be a key part in the Commissioning and all-round Project Management of an FLNG asset team.
As such we are recruiting for a Project Engineer with 10 years experience who is comfortable working offshore and on site with the ambition/drive to succeed working for one of the world's biggest operators, conducting their standards.
You will be a key member of the FLNG Project Management Team. The role will interface with multiple FLNG Squads, the FLNG lessee organisation, plus disciplines and functions within the project/business.

Core Competencies/Requirements:
* Minimum Engineering Degree from University/College
* Minimum of 10 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry
* Take a lead role in the coordination of the three remaining FLNG project reviews - with a significant focus on defining and managing the readiness process in the 6-12 months before the reviews take place
* Strong track record with an emphasis on safety across multi- discipline projects

Senior Engineer, Civil & Architectural

On behalf of An Oil and Gas EPC company Petroplan are looking for a Senior Civil & Architectural Engineer on a contractual basis based in the UK

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Broad experience of civil and structural engineering covering all aspects from foundations to steel structures, site preparation and earthworks, roads, drainage and buildings. Should also have a good understanding of geotechnical matters and an appreciation of architectural design.

  • Conversant with British, European and American design codes.

  • Self-starting, motivated individual who can be flexible in a challenging environment and working on a new technology area.

  • Able to take undertake civils design work on projects with minimal supervision.

  • Would be advantageous to have worked on projects from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED to Detailed Design and Construction.

  • Demonstrable experience using STAAD.Pro or SAP2000 is essential for this position. Experience using Foundation 3D or Mat3D would be advantageous but is not essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with preparation of ITTs and design and follow-up of offshore transportation and installation projects.
  • Expert in T&I of fixed platforms, sea-lines, risers and subsea structures.
  • Demonstrable work experience in engineering companies or in the engineering area of Installation Contractors, dealing with feasibility and conceptual studies, basic and FEED design, manuals preparations and operations at sea, in respect of load out, transportation and installation of fixed off-shore and subsea structures.
  • Previous technical support experience in field operations for Load out, Transportation and Installation of fixed, subsea and/or floating off-shore structures.
  • Interface with other disciplines such as naval, structural, installation & commissioning departments.
  • Subsea and off-shore structures knowledge related to technologies for vehicles and equipment used for loading, transporting and installing.
  • Previous experience on executed projects in technical assistance, including; loading, transporting and installing.

Senior Financial Accountant

Job Purpose / Requirements:
To undertake and complete all aspects of the Financial Accounting processes and monthly and year-end financial reporting requirements for all Corporate Accounting entities. To liaise with other members of the Corporate Accounting team including Senior Management Accountant & Management Accountant) and the Accenture team, with regards to Financial Controls and maintaining an appropriate control environment.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
Financial accounting and reporting
* Responsible for the monthly Financial consolidation and reporting for all AGS entities including ensuring adherence to current Company guidelines and policies as well as recommended accounting practice in conjunction with the Group Financial Reporting Team.
* Review of trial balances and key account reconciliations prepared by the Accenture team & ensure that queries are resolved.
* Review & approve monthly bank account reconciliations prepared by the Accenture Team.
* Lead team to achieve KPIs for timely, accurate month end close
* Lead the Accenture Team in managing balance sheet open items & ensure that all queries are resolved promptly.
* Maintain appropriately control environment, specifically review, approve and post journals prepared by the Accenture Team.
* Ensure key control and process documentation is kept up to date
* Provide accounting guidance and expertise to the team as appropriate.
Statutory accounts
* Accountable for the co-ordination and preparation of the statutory accounts for all AGS entities in liaising with the Group Financial Reporting team as to status and accounting guidance.

Audits
* Lead interaction with external auditors to ensure efficient resolution of issues; completion of hard close reviews and annual Group audit.
General
* Pro-actively engage in group wide Corporate Projects not business as usual
* Ad hoc duties as required.

Education:
ACA Chartered Accountant


Skills:
* Excellent financial accountant with proven track record with strong technical accounting skills
* Strong analytical skills.
* Extensive knowledge of IFRS
* Experience in Oil & Gas industry or Big 4 desirable but not essential
* Experience of SAP/ERP systems and Controller/consolidation system preferable
* Strong MS Office skills
