Overview

The Project and Performance lead develop and maintain performance metrics and measures, work with ITC cost controllers to manage ITC financials. Supervise Project Managers and maintain the project portfolio processes. As part of the extended ITC management team, manage specific tasks, activities and projects on behalf of the department. You will support and maintain risk assessments and Ambition2Action processes. The successful candidate will also help to develop and improve operational processes for service management (ITIL).

Position Duties:

Own and manage the projects portfolio

  • Capture and record project requests (portfolio hopper)
  • Prioritise project demand in accordance with agreed budget
  • Work with 3rd party providers to deliver projects
  • Together with CAM's ensure purchase orders and contracts are raised
  • Manage a group of PM's to deliver agreed projects
  • Allocate and prioritize resources across the projects together with team leaders

Manage the ITC projects budget (both CAPEX and OPEX)

Ensure projects are delivered to agreed ITC standards, follow the ITC project methodology and adhere to site working practices (eg MoC).

Leads efforts in developing/improving process, procedures, and documentation for all aspects of ITC project and performance processes

Maintain and update ITC risk register and mitigation activities with input from team leads and project managers.

Create and update monthly reports to Ambtion2Action and work with ITC management and Performance lead to improve KPI and metrics.

Provide regular status reports to all stakeholders

If required, act as Project Manager for smaller projects / tasks.

Support and guides ITC operation in developing the service management processes.

Provide support to on-site ITC management team

  • Be a key contributor to the extended ITC management team
  • Provide support and assistance in delivery of specific tasks and objectives of the ITC management team

Essential Skills

  • Experience: 10 years of IT administration and ITC project management
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Relevant project and service management knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas: Project management, Service design, Portfolio management, ITIL framework and Risk management.
  • Hold a broad range of skills in IT/Telecomms and management processes and delivery
  • Contract management and working with 3rd party suppliers
  • English speaking
  • Able to work accurately and independently and to lead a multi-cultural team

Experience Desired

  • French / Arabic speaking
  • Prince2 Foundation or above
  • ITIL v3 - Foundation or higher
  • Lean methodology
  • Scrum and Canban methodology
  • O365 and cloud
  • Demonstrated experience helping an organization successfully improving project management capabilities

Background in the some or all of the following areas;

  • Networks
  • Telephony
  • Applications
  • Infrastructure and work (servers, storage)
  • PC environment
  • Service Management

Senior Completions Supervisor

Senior Completions Supervisor - (rotational one year contract, onshore Africa)

  • Active wellsite supervision of the execution of completion operations acting as the completion technical authority
  • Prepares detailed work instructions, time estimates, completion tallies, operational risk assessments and EOWR documentation
  • Reviews relevant third-party operational job reports, logs, schematics, BHA's, tallies and calculations to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinates tasks daily with service contractor personnel. Liaises directly with the Lead Completion Engineer and Senior Completion Engineers in HQ throughout operational and planning phases
  • Ensure all service contractors execute the completion/workover operation as per the final approved completion program, any deviation will be raised by Management of Change (MoC) to be approved by Well Delivery senior management.
  • Ensure that all equipment required for the jobs are properly QA/QC by Contractors, in good operating conditions and ready for the operations by monitoring and providing corrective actions during the inspection and acceptance phase
  • Capture lessons learned and perform post operational debriefs and prepare report of lessons learned to ensure continual improvement, playing an active role in building a high functioning Well Delivery Team
  • Drive operational excellence by collating performance KPI's and reviewing quarterly to drive continuous performance improvement
  • Function as a safety leader at all times to play an active role in establishing a culture that ensures SHE and operational risks have been assessed and that appropriate mitigation and all necessary contingency plans are in place prior to commencing operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of completion experience within an oil & gas operator including remote locations
  • Either a degree in an engineering discipline or recognized service company training combined with extensive field experience.
  • Specific technical experience of; selective multizone completions, sand control systems, horizontal wells, tubing conveyed perforating, upper completion technology (safety valve, packers, chemical injection downhole gauges, etc.), wireline (basic log interpretation CBL/VDL USIT and correlation techniques), slickline (basic wireline fundamentals, plug setting operations fishing tools and intervention), coiled tubing (basic fundamentals including downhole coiled tubing tools), drilling and completion fluids, wellbore clean up tool fundamentals and practices. Experience of intelligent completion systems would be advantageous

Role synopsis

The role will be within the Discipline Excellence Team for Project Controls. This role will be supporting the project controls lead on project controls initiatives and cost recovery through time-writing and work orders across the projects portfolio. The role is part of the transformation unit which is seeking to standardise, digitise and centralise keys project controls deliverables to improve productivity and allow the project operating bases to focus on project specific deliverables.

  • Ensure time sheets are completed timely, hours booked to correct jobs and with high quality commentary
  • Ensure service work orders are raised, approved and well managed
  • Ensuring practitioners are set up and trained on time-writing and properly approving work orders
  • Provide good quality and timely analytics around time writing performance
  • Support workforce supply and demand analysis
  • Support discipline community of practice activities
  • Reporting on manhours submission and missing manhours allocation
  • Supporting the project controls lead on new initiatives

Essential Education

Degree educated preferably in an engineering, construction, or business related discipline

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Good knowledge of project controls ways of working
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems.
  • Mindset supporting transition towards digitisation
  • Analytical ability combined with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent skill using Microsoft suite of tools
