Remote working opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator with experience working on coating proposals.

Upon receipt of an RFQ, the Proposals Coordinator shall be responsible for a thorough review of all applicable documentation and the preparation of a combined commercial and technical proposal. Liaising with the other relevant internal departments to help ensure the proposal is ready for management approval prior to submittal to the client.


LISTING OF KEY DUTIES FOR THE ROLE

  • Review the Client's RFQ documentation.
  • Provide applicable client specifications and SOW to the technical department and collate any technical clarifications for discussion with the client.
  • Perform material usage calculations using company provided templates.
  • Prepare the proposal, including both technical and commercial aspects, for internal review in accordance with Client requirement's.
  • Attend both internal and client meetings as required.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list, just a summary of the key points and other tasks may be required at various times.
  • Previous experience of working on proposals , preferably within the oil and gas/pipeline industry.

Financial Controller

To perform the cleanse and closure of a number of Exploration company codes that include dormant joint ventures. This will include the elimination of any working capital balances, distribution of residual funds between JV partners, closure of bank accounts and completion of required JV, branch and statutory compliance matters prior to the dissolution of both branch and statutory entities.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives

  • Analysis of open working capital balances in specified entities and proposal of required action and associated financial postings to clear all balances down
  • Preparation and posting of approved journals in SAP
  • Running of the necessary SAP month end activities to maintain accurate ledgers
  • Preparation of final billing packs for Joint ventures and recovering any outstanding balances
    Preparation of final Joint venture reconciliations
  • Facillitate the distribution of residual Joint venture funds to the respective partners and the closure of Joint Venture bank accounts
  • Engage with Legal, Tax, Company Secretarial and external service providers to understand the local branch filing and dissolution requirements
  • Preparing the required submissions for the branch compliance activities as part of the dissolution process, including but not limited to: o Annual /abbreviated financial statement, Tax returns
  • Organise and co-ordinate any special purpose audit requirements as part of the dissolution process
  • Support the intercompany capitalisation and/or write-off process in the branch and statutory entities as required

Education and Background

  • Experience with SAP, particularly Joint Venture accounting Relevant Finance accreditation (CA / ACCA) Experience with Joint venture accounting and knowledge of JOA and PSC agreements Oil and Gas industry experience preferred

Development Manager (staff, London)

Our client, an independent Oil and Gas company is looking for a high calibre Development Manager to join the team. The role would be focusing the company's key deep water asset in West Africa.

  • Improving subsurface understanding of the various components of the asset, clearly demonstrating the risk vs the reward for the components and bringing opportunities through to approvals.
  • Working closely with the Drilling and Completions department to ensure that the best opportunities are drilled as soon as practicable, and that key appraisal data is acquired.
  • Leading the end year Reserves Audit for the asset. This should be planned so that future developments are timed to maximise end year reserves booking.
  • Working with the in-country production team to ensure consistency of understanding and near-term production forecasting, as well as protecting reservoir management when challenged by short term production demands.
  • Leading the subsurface team and challenge the team to produce excellent quality work in tight timeframes with a lean team.
  • As a senior member of the subsurface community, you will provide guidance and help to more junior members across the company.


Skills

Ideally you will have a MSc. level or equivalent in a related subject, with experience of leading a subsurface team for a large, operated offshore oilfield. You will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Experience of coordinating projects across departments in an Area Development Manager, or Asset Manager type role preferred.
  • Subsurface background required.
  • Experience of all field maturities - from exploration through to production.
  • Experience of leading projects through stage gates
  • Good understanding of Reserves theory (PRMS)
  • Experience of deepwater subsea projects preferred.

Student Counsel/Student Representative (WFH)

Main responsibilities

  1. Ensure the admission, enrollment and registration of students at university levels for various programs and work closely with UK universities to track the issuance of CAS documents for all students studying in the UK.
  2. Develop a close operational partnership with the internal Student Support teams of UK Universities in order to actively participate in key events and activities, such as student enrollments, registration and securing CAS details, induction/orientation programs and wellbeing events, academic change requests.
  3. Assist, in case needed; all students to complete enrollment and registration application forms with UK universities/ authorities and ensure all documentation is submitted to the relevant bodies.
  4. Provide a frontline support service, in identifying and resolving student issues, and where specialist service interventions have been identified, to ensure that the necessary referrals are made efficiently and professionally to the Counselling Team, Student Services, other Academic departments and/or external organizations, where applicable.
  5. Help new students with opening new bank accounts, finding suitable accommodation and provide financial guarantees if necessary in coordination with the company, in addition to hospitals and clinics when necessary.
  6. Liaise with UK Universities to obtain academic progression updates for sponsored students as well as undertake graduation related key tasks (Certificate Legalization)
  7. Supervise and observe student attendance records and academic performance to share them with the company and take necessary action with the purpose of maintaining discipline and identifying students with specific challenges proposing solutions in order to overcome these challenges.
  8. Collect and review feedback from students by appropriate means, as part of the Registry continuous quality improvement plan.
  9. Ensure that the company has the most recent updated contact information for all students, including home addresses, as well as university focal point information.
  10. To use triage skills to identify important or urgent issues and ensure that they are escalated appropriately to the relevant support services.
  11. Provide information, advice and support to students on a range of personal and academic issues through structured sessions and informal drop ins.
  12. Efficiently assess the student's need, to enable appropriate onward referrals and make recommendations for ongoing support.
  13. Maintain appropriate records and management information statistics in relation to the frontline service, and facilitate information sharing to ensure effective service delivery in a shared environment.
  14. Prepare and disseminate a range of information and guidance materials.
  15. Develop appropriate and effective ways of communicating with students and University staff and the company Scholarship team.
  16. Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of policies, issues and legislation relating to personal and academic issues across UK Universities/ authorities.
  17. Act as a focal point for assigned students for all Personal, Financial, Legal and Academic issues.

Qualifications

  1. Educated to degree level. (Psychology, Business, HR or Education Major preferred)
  2. Post graduate qualifications related to student support/Counselling or Education Management (preferred)
  3. Experience in working with young adults, students, parents as well Educational Institutions.
  4. Extensive knowledge and experience with university enrollments, placement testing and career, personal, and educational assessments.
  5. Delivering support to a wide range of learner needs (Student Enrollment, Academic Progression, Certification Support- Preferred)
  6. Knowledge of Further and Higher Education legalization and Operations in the UK.
  7. Experience in delivering high quality customer service, with the demonstration of a strong understanding of how to respond to differing stakeholders' needs.

Category Lead - Indirect Procurement

Job Purpose:
Support the Business in meeting its objectives for Indirect Procurement for respective categories - through the development of long term category plans. Developing contracting strategies, the composition and issue of invitations to tender, objective bid evaluation, preparation and award of the final contract, negotiation of arrangements coupled with post award contractor performance management.

Responsibilities /Key Objectives:

  • Managing respective category with associated function, in terms of deriving and maintaining the category plans & setting deliverables for consolidation, efficiency and cost saving.
  • Act as delegate to SCM Indirects Manager
  • Working with the Business to manage and plan pipeline of activities for Tier1/2 and 3 sourcing activities
  • Working alongside and in partnership with the BPO team to deliver Tier 1 and 2 projects, and setting the parameters of tier 3 souring with the BPO provider. Approval handling of Indirect contracts, which includes Vendor approvals. Handling of all sourcing requirements in accordance with SCM GCPP; as well as managing other Indirect Procurement contract requirements.
  • Develop contracting strategies for contracts / purchases including establishment of Framework Agreements with regular suppliers, roll up of multiple contracts with same supplier and exploring global purchasing opportunities.
  • Provide assistance in facilitating contract strategy workshop sessions.
  • Review specifications and Scope of Work for completeness and enables technical functions to translate their requirements into a clearly articulated expression of commercial intent.
  • Develop, compile and conduct pre-qualification exercises, pre-tender meetings, invitation to tender documentation, tender openings and evaluation of tenders received, including detailed analysis of commercial and contractual qualifications, exceptions and deviations.
  • Negotiate contractor/supplier-based terms and conditions.
  • Support Supplier Performance management and supplier relationship management activities for Tier 1 and where required Tier 2 and 3 Suppliers
  • Provide ad-hoc support to User functions on post-award contractual interpretation and administration matters coupled with contract provisions including explanations on processes, penalties, and compliance terms to Users.
  • On request, resolve discrepancies in contract deliverables and prepares written documentation as necessary to enable clarity in interpretation.
  • Complete/Liaise with BPO to Supplier Due Diligence in line with overall Supplier Due Diligence policies.

Experience and Education:
Required procurement capabilities will include (amongst others)

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in Contracting and Procurement, including indirect and general services procurement around required categories.

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiations
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and communications with strong influencing skills.

Staff position within one of the best medium size operating companies, working on the World Class deep water field in West Africa. We are looking for a high calibre Lead Development Geophysicist with hands on technical skills and experience in 4d seismic and deep water reservoirs.

Additional requirements are as per below:

  • Perform geophysical evaluations, including 3D & 4D seismic interpretation, working closely with team geologists and PEs to ensure work and deliverables are focused to meet project requirements.
  • Seismic interpretation, geophysical analyses and modelling to inform quantitative reservoir model conditioning.
  • Integrate geophysical data across team subsurface disciplines to support reservoir evaluation, history matching and forecasting, and for input to reserve evaluation.
  • Input to seismic acquisition and processing decisions, contractor Qc & coordination.
  • Plan infill wells or further development opportunities, including presentations and well proposals.
  • Present recommendations to management, peer reviews and partners.
