Business Development Manager

We are currently working for a forward thinking business based in South West London who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who'll sit within the Oil, Gas and Renewable Power sector playing a key role in developing the offshore energy business whilst shaping future opportunities and contributing the businesses global ambitions.

Expected salary £75k-£85k (permanent contract)

The Role :
The role will consist of reporting to the Head of Oil,Gas, and Energy Transition whilst winning new business , identifying and acquiring new projects as well as meeting strategic business targets related to financial and client relationship development.

Your primary focus will be on the development and management of a portfolio for FEEDs, Detail Design, EPCM/EPC, and PMC projects for complex facilities in Conventional energy, Process and Chemicals and Renewable sectors. You'll be providing innovative solutions to customers whilst utilising your market and client knowledge to identify risks and win probability to enable a decision to be made

Responsibilities:

  • Developing the sales pipeline of Global offshore business opportunities
  • Providing business development engagement
  • Developing the in-house customer database
  • Identifying short and long term local and international pursuits
  • Providing weekly reports to the BD director
  • Generating BD meetings with a range of potential customers
  • Gaining sufficient knowledge of the other business lines and identifying company opportunities
  • Attending industry events to generate leads to aid in strengthening the businesses position in the offshore power energy sector
  • Developing the strategic/tactical plans and sales opportunities for the London engineering operation



Skills and Competencies required :

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within the Upstream Oil and Gas industry for a reputable company
  • Ability to problem solve with a strong work ethic
  • Proficient at report writing
  • Confident and dynamic individual
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Ability to travel in UK/EU (away from the base office)
  • Commercial and contractual experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Must have a full and valid driving licence
