KEY OBJECTIVES

  • To champion COMPANY Malaysia's asset integrity management for efforts involving pressure system equipment, structural equipment, inspection, and anomaly rectification activities.
  • To promote continuous improvement within COMPANY's Malaysian operations to prevent/minimize safety critical element (SCE) related integrity risks while increasing operational performance, leading to increased value of assets.
  • To embrace, practice, and encourage COMPANY Core Values (EP SPIRIT) and embed it into daily routines consistently.
  • To promote and inculcate "Target Zero" work culture to all direct reports, inspectors, and contractors.
  • Build, promote and deliver applicable KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) related to asset integrity.
  • Mentor sub-ordinates to encourage and promote their development towards increased efficiency on results delivery, whilst achieving safety excellence.
  • Maintain a working level control of OPEX/CAPEX spend related to asset integrity, i.e., budget versus actual spend.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible and accountable in efforts related to the development, implementation and management of asset integrity strategies, methodologies, processes and routine activities, such as:
  • Responsible for the implementation of asset integrity strategies across all operating assets to ensure overall Asset Integrity goals of COMPANY Malaysia is met.
  • To integrate integrity inspection with Plant Maintenance, Safety, Security, Health, and Environment(SSHE) and Process Safety functions.
  • Active participation for integrity inspection requirement from fabrication to de-commissioning, i.e.; fabrication inspection, commissioning inspection, first-in-service-inspection, operational integrity inspection (i.e. time-based, risk-based), asset late life integrity inspection, etc.
  • Responsible for the generation of annual, mid-term (5yearly) and long-term (10yearly) asset integrity plans.
  • Support the Pressure System & Structure Integrity Management team on analysis of degradation trends, performing failure analysis, fitness-for-service (FFS) and reporting of inspection findings and engineering support for anomalies.
  • Support and maintain execution schedule, database, and anomalies tracking for asset integrity related activities for Pressure System, Structure, and Pipeline risers.
  • To provide pragmatic support related to asset integrity Management of Change (MOC) & Anomaly Management tasks.
  • Develop scope of work and estimate annual budget for related asset integrity activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Con'td)

  • Be accountable for spend against agreed budget, and for delivering timely and accurate cost information.
  • Deliver internal reporting required by Head of Asset Integrity. Ensure this is accurate, relevant, timely and clearly identifies areas of significant risks to facilities operations.
  • Deliver external reporting (e.g., to PETRONAS, Corporate, DOSH and other authorities) as required by Head of Asset Integrity.
  • Manage activities of direct reports and contractors to achieve a standard of excellence in all areas related to asset integrity.
  • Promote and establish new technologies where appropriate. Collaborate with Joint Industry Consortia and partnerships to establish workplace innovation to manage asset integrity.
  • Participate in all COMPANY SSHE programs such as safety meetings, safety engagement and workshops, training courses, etc. Provide relevant feedback to improve SSHE undertakings in asset integrity.
  • Interface and coordinate with relevant stakeholders; discipline engineers, maintenance, operations, and safety team to conduct technical Integrity assessments and associated failure analysis to resolve complex issues related to asset integrity.
  • Establish internal audits to ensure asset integrity related performance management, PETRONAS IOAIA and OSRMS requirements is met.
  • Establish, track, monitor and report deviations and or deferments related to asset integrity.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

  • Reports directly to the Head of Asset Integrity, while working as Peer with other Asset Integrity functional Sr. Engineers and Engineers, keeping them informed of integrity progress/status, and providing pragmatic technical recommendations when and where necessary.
  • Provide asset integrity advisory support to other functional Section Heads and Department Heads for their individual areas of responsibility as requested by Head of Asset Integrity.
  • Directs activities of contractors responsible for asset integrity related activities.
  • Works closely with SSHE, Regulatory and Process Safety functions to ensure full alignment of asset integrity with respective functions requirements.
  • Works with offshore and onshore operations teams to prioritize and execute asset integrity work, encouraging them to take ownership where necessary.
  • Works with Anomaly Coordinator to manage all anomalies that affects or could prevent assets to perform to its intended function.
  • Works with Inspection Coordinator to plan, schedule, execute, and manage all integrity inspection related activities.
  • Works closely with cost controllers to effectively manage annual budget against spend and delivering timely and accurate cost information to Head of Asset Integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably with Honours.
  • Minimum of 10 years diversified & practical experience in Asset Integrity Management for oil and gas industry.
  • Professional engineering certification, experience and intimate working knowledge with international codes, standards, recommended practice such as ASME VIII, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC 2, API RP 510, API RP 570, API 598, API 579, API RP 583, API RP 571, API RP 2SIM, and any other professional certification related to Asset Integrity is a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience in offshore structure integrity management, i.e., Structure Asset Life Extension, anomaly management, inspection, etc. is an added advantage.
  • Experience in pressure equipment integrity management, i.e., risk-based inspection, fitness-for-service assessment, asset life extension, anomaly management, inspection, etc. is an added advantage.
  • Well experienced in most if not all readily available inspection methods and techniques including advanced and specialized NDT.
  • Well experienced in conducting anomalies fitness-for-service analysis, root cause failure analysis/investigation, lab report analysis and reporting.
  • Well experienced in turnaround/shutdown inspection scope implementation, and asset integrity performance review and management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (Con'td)

  • Experience in developing asset integrity related procedures, i.e., inspection strategy, inspection procedure, guidelines, work pack, etc. is an added advantage.
  • Setting and delivery of annual asset integrity goals, plans and key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation and operations of Asset Integrity Management Software Systems.
  • Experienced in management of contractors, track record of project accomplishment including high level of safety performance, and leadership of action-focused teams.
  • Self-motivated, with positive and flexible work ethic. Willing to learn, train and develop multi-national work force and assist in mentoring and developing underperforming staff and contractors.
  • Effective, systematic, analytical, and results-oriented individual, with demonstrated ability to meet challenging targets.

As a member of a multi-discipline exploration team, complete regional studies and petroleum system assessments, which can be used to high grade leads and prospects in COMPANY Malaysia shelf PSC's and evaluate open blocks in Malaysia.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out 3D and 2D seismic interpretation, including stratigraphic and trace attribute interpretation and mapping, including depth conversion to generate prospects and leads.
  • Apply quantitative interpretation (QI) techniques such as seismic reservoir characterization and AVO analysis to optimize exploration, appraisal and development of hydrocarbon pools.
  • Identify leads and mature suitable prospects to a ready-to-drill category. Provide technical input into well proposal and post-drill analysis. Liase with drilling and reservoir engineers to optimally plan well trajectories/well design for exploration and appraisal drilling.
  • Integrate existing and new well and seismic interpretations into regional and prospect assessments and databases. Provide technical support to G&G Team in developing regional play, prospect risking and ranking.

  • Plan and support seismic data acquisition and processing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant degree with a preference for postgraduate qualifications.
  • Minimum 10 years of multi-basin experience in exploration / appraisal / field development geophysics interpretation and reservoir characterisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of seismic attribute analysis and rock physics. Able to apply Quantitative Interpretation (QI) techniques and incorporate them into the modeling process.
  • Experience in incorporating multiple data types and data sets to generate an integrated and comprehensive interpretation, particularly in areas with poor to limited data.
  • Skilled in seismic data calibration, seismic reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon detection from seismic.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Build and evaluate a range of 3D static geological models in support of reservoir characterization and dynamic reservoir simulation studies, leading to an understanding of the reserves distribution and an optimum field development strategy for the development projects.
  • Principal role to build discrete static models utilizing multiple subsurface scenarios capturing structural, stratigraphic and petrophysical uncertainties, for reserves assessment, history matching, production optimization and development strategy. This requires experience in geomodelling using seismic data to help constrain geological model facies and knowledge of analogue data to constrain property distributions within the modeled facies.
  • Review near field exploration and appraisal opportunities which may prove to be economic as part of a larger development.
  • Prepare detailed reports on model construction and support the reporting of hydrocarbons-in-place calculations as well as update and prepare field development plans.
  • Assist team review of potential appraisal and development well locations and trajectories, and preparing well proposals

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Establish reservoir characterization of the Malaysia oil and gas fields that incorporates sufficient facies analysis, sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and dynamic data (reservoir pressure, well deliverability) that meet both project objectives and milestones.
  • Provide technically accurate and geologically sound reservoir descriptions for Oil and Gas Fields that incorporate sufficient detail to meet COMPANY and JV Partners' requirements
  • Independently perform geological modelling (several projects and in complex geological and structural setting) by using the industry software (preferred Petrel) , starting from designing what to be modelled, input data checking and preparation for structural framework, 3D grid design, well data analysis and re-scaling, facies and petrophysical modelling, volumetric analysis etc.
  • Calibrate static models with dynamic production data where possible (in association with reservoir engineers and G&G specialists).
  • Conduct resource assessments to SPE/PETRONAS guidelines for all oil and gas fields and provide technical inputs into ARPR submissions.
  • Study the subsurface uncertainties by building multiple scenarios (as well as stochastic realizations) to quantify volumetric
  • Perform geological risk analysis in sufficient subsurface data, and provide suggestion and advise as per the outcome of the analysis
  • Provide geological input to drilling programs for appraisal and development wells (geological cross sections, maps, correlations and facies models).
  • Optimize appraisal/development well locations in conjunction with the geophysicist(s) and reservoir engineer(s) using Petrel as the common work platform.
  • Prepare and present technical data to partners during all stages of project evaluation, well proposals, Field Development Plan's and project implementations, to achieve endorsements and approvals for proposed work activities.
  • Work closely with drilling engineers, operations geologists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers on all aspects of well planning and implementation.

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in an exploration and production or service-related company on field developments is essential.
  • Familiarity with reservoir parameter analysis (porosity, permeability etc).
  • Proven experience building fault and 3D geo-cellular models using the Petrel software essential, including geological correlations, facies analysis and well planning.
  • Proven experience in "QC"ing models so that they integrate sufficient geological and dynamic data to meet project objectives.
  • Previous exposure to a broad range of geoscience skills essential. (i.e. reservoir geological modelling (2D & 3D), reservoir property mapping, net pay calculations, well planning, sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and petrophysics).
  • Proven experience in the use of an industry standard mapping software (e.g. Petrel, PetroSys, CPS3, ZMAP, etc.) is an advantage.

  • Prepare the design basis, single line-diagrams, equipment and cable sizing calculations and other material and equipment analysis for client approval.
  • Guide engineers in the preparation of equipment and material specifications and data sheets.
  • Competent to participate effectively in the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of Load list/schedule, Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Equipment Layouts, Cable Routing and Layout Drawings, Cable Trench/Tray Layout Drawings, Lighting System Layout and Details, Earthing/Lightning System Layout and Details, Heat Tracing Layout and Details, Installation Standard Drawings, Protection Drawings and other required documents.

  • Prepare Inquiry Requisitions to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Competent to review Vendor's various options (including limitation and /or deviation) and provide Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). Review vendor drawings and documents. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. Ensure materials are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.
  • Review plot plans, organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC's) coordinate with other engineering discipline in the integration of technical data inputs.
  • Competent to witness vendor FAT / shop testing, inspect vendor works and workshops when required, provide dispatch clearance and test certificates.
  • Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of failures / deficiencies /under-performance /discrepancy during shop testing.
  • Participate in ELSOR/HAZOP meeting with the client and representatives of other engineering disciplines and close out of any action points.
  • Competent to interface and provide clarification, guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers. Provide startup assistance as required.
  • Competent to explore cost-saving options / energy efficient measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available.

  • Able to understand interface issues with other disciplines, and resolve any conflict
  • Able to conduct VDR meeting with vendor /support Vendor in case of needs to shorten the VDR duration and to achieve project progress.

Equipment Manufacturing Knowledge

  • Understand manufacturing process, long lead components, critical specifications of equipments, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment
  • Able to anticipate effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment

Perform As Lead Engineer Role

  • In the role as a Lead Engineer, able to provide total commitment to meet project values, monitoring of progress to achieve delivery schedule and execute within appropriate budget/resources.
  • Ability to anticipate, escalate and communicate effectively in time.
  • To provide pro-activeness, creativity and efficiency in project execution.
  • Coordinate and plan resources for execution of project.
  • Participate in the review of contract requirements for project execution, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal, FEED etc, identify requirements and scope of work, plan and prepare the Technical document deliverable list, man-hour estimation and project schedules etc. Ability to identify the scope of work in various phases of projects like conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, EPCM, PMC and accordingly plan and schedule the man hours.
  • Advise Head of Department on the manpower and skill levels required, to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Distribute and assign work to the project team appropriately, to meet the project schedule.
  • Overall manage the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings. Ensure the lesson learnt from past projects are discussed and applied as required.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss about project progress, priorities and issues. Ability to resolve issues and recommend the way forward to meet project requirement and schedule adhering to the intended quality.
  • Ensure proper communication and coordination among the team members.
  • Establish project filing system and ensure adherence to project requirements and department standards.
  • Liaise with other departments/ disciplines, clients and third parties as required by the projects.
  • Be overall responsible for the quality of work produced.
  • Produce the discipline close-out report once the project completed.
  • Act as the discipline Project Engineer to ensure the project executed within the specified schedules and budget.

Technical Audits

  • Ability to carry out technical audits at the Head of Department request (For Senior Engineer more than 10 years experience)
  • Able to effectively investigate and resolve any quality complaints or incidents raised by any interested parties, or when requested by Client, or project manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • The Candidate shall possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by Board of Engineer Malaysia or approved equivalent.
  • For Senior engineer, Possess at least minimum 8 years of electrical engineering design experiences in onshore / offshore application.
  • For Lead Engineer, Possess at least minimum 12 years of post graduate experience in the similar electrical engineering design experiences for onshore / offshore application.

  • Be a focal point to prepare necessary critical list of spare parts, consumables, and other supply service contracts to be used during the early stage of operation after handing over from project team to operation team.

Operation Phase :

  • Ensure that the Company SSHE policy is effectively implemented and that corrective measures are taken in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Reporting to the Flow Assurance Study Manager, the position will be to provide Flow Assurance analysis and related technical support in the frame of project ranging from Conceptual to Detailed design. The engineer will be part of the flow assurance team based in Kuala Lumpur and may be working with other COMPANY office globally.

The engineer should be able to operate independently in performing flow assurance studies and writing up results/reports, requiring some, but not intensive, input and support from the team leader. Experience with OLGA is a necessity for this role.

  • Perform design calculations and assisting in the performance of Engineering and Field Development studies.

Main Accountabilities;

  • Ensures completion of safe and operable design in accordance with COMPANY and project requirements, relevant laws, regulations and codes.
  • Communicates regularly with Study Manager to ensure objectives are being met in a timely manner.
  • Liaises with other disciplines for applicable engineering interfaces.
  • Develops engineering solutions to specific project requirements.
  • Performs simulation of selected cases as defined.
  • Undertakes calculations in accordance with COMPANY and project quality requirements.
  • Participates in flow assurance business development activities to support other COMPANY offices.
  • Participates in engineering co-ordination meetings.
  • Participates in Project presentations to communicate results.
  • Participates in safety and design review meetings, where necessary.
  • Participates in COMPANY global flow assurance team knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Supports team leader and performs all reasonable job tasks required by supervisor.

MUST HAVE;

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Engineering Degree qualified - preferably chemical, mechanical petroleum
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in process and flow assurance
  • Minimum 5 process / flow assurance projects completed.
  • Good understanding of fluid dynamics and fluid characteristics
  • Knowledge of thermodynamic fluid properties & phase behavior
  • Good understanding of separator, compressor, pump, heat exchanger, safety valve sizing
  • Understanding of key flow assurance related issues; hydrate, wax, scale, corrosion, asphaltene, liquid management
  • Good flow assurance modelling experience using OLGA, Pipesim and PVTsim, Pipenet or similar.
  • Good process modelling experience using HYSYS, Flarenet, Flaresim would be an advantage.
  • Able to deliver project deliverable including operational philosophies and system design.
