Job description
Civil and structural engineering work in office in Kuala Lumpur for onshore plant (brownfield and greenfield) in different phases (feasibility study, conceptual, FEED and detailed design):-

• Managing or carrying out the work to meet technical and commercial requirements
• Analysis and design and preparation of basis of design, specifications and reports
• Checking of drawings
• Liaison with same and other disciplines, client, contractors and third parties
• Meetings
• Occasional site visits

Requirements

• Degree in civil and structural engineering
• Professional membership for senior positions is advantageous.
• Min experience 5 years in similar industry
• Experience in buildings, structural and infrastructure (earthworks, roads, drainage and sewerage) design
• Experience in foundation design (for buildings, structures, equipment and tanks)
• Familiarity with ground investigation and geotechnical requirements
• Familiarity with architectural work for plant buildings
• Knowledge of plant requirements
• Conversant with Eurocodes
• Ability to use STAAD.Pro and other related commercial software
• Good understanding of concepts and ability to apply them in routine and unfamiliar design cases
• Ability to express and communicate clearly, orally and in writing
• Appreciation of impact of decisions on other disciplines, engineering company, client and community
• Agility and teamwork spirit
