Job Summary
To aid in the production of engineering drafting deliverables for transfer of a project's technical information from design to construction and operation.

Qualification / Skills

  • Diploma/Certificate in relevant Drafting Discipline from a recognised institution.
  • Min. 7 years of overall experience with 5 years in onshore/offshore Oil and Gas industry.
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD Computer Software.
  • Having a thorough working knowledge of codes and practices applicable to piping design
  • Organizational skills and time management.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Conversant with company client drafting standards and specification.
  • Conversant with company quality control assurance requirements applicable to drafting function.
  • Able to create base design drawings from agreed work scope with minimal input from engineering personnel.
  • Ability to accept delegated responsibility and control budgets for delegated tasks.
  • Computer literate (database / spreadsheets).
  • Able to provide drafting checking function as directed by Lead Designer.
  • Capable of directing activities and motivating junior members of design team.
  • Able to communicate clearly with engineering personnel.
  • Able to contribute to group / discipline objectives applicable to drafting function.
  • Able to identify improvement opportunities and techniques relevant to drafting personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD Computer Software.
  • To prepare drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with guidance from engineering personnel.
  • Responsible for preparation of detailed design drawings and documents to the requirements of the Lead Designer.
  • To ensure all drawings and documents are complete within the allocated hours as directed by the Lead Designer.
  • To ensure drawings are developed per mechanical design i.e. pipe material class specifications
  • Fully aware and compliance to pipe material classes and have thorough knowledge of pipe class within PDMS catalogue.
  • To ensure discipline deliverables conform to the best-practice.
  • To review access and handling requirement for equipment, valves, and instrument items
  • To maintain good relations with other disciplines and with the client at all time.
  • To have an understanding of the Department checking and approval procedures.
  • To maintain project discipline filing system as defined in Company procedures.
  • To ensure that the piping design work are in compliance with the relevant project standards and specifications.
  • Ability to do cadding work and manual drafting are advantage.
  • Provide accurate piping MTO.
