KEY OBJECTIVES

The Senior Engineer, Contracts reports to the Project Services Manager. The job holder is responsible for full cycle of contract management for both Offshore Facilities and Onshore Gas Plant projects starting from FEED execution, Licensor execution, EPC contracting strategy development, EPC tendering process, Project execution until Work completion and Close-out.
Development project covers the ample scope of LLI/ Licensor/ FEED/ EPC execution, i.e. Basic engineering design, Detailed engineering design, Procurement, Construction & Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Plant performance test and Handover to operation where Contract Specialist will be a focal point in contract management and assure the perfect integration of anticipated contracts.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Senior Engineer, Contracts shall be responsible for the whole cycle of Contract management in capital project. Execution covering from CFT development, Tendering execution, Basic engineering, Detailed engineering, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Performance test of both Offshore Facilities and Onshore Gas Plant.

The Senior Engineer, Contracts shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the followings:

  • Liaise with Project engineer to develop Contracting strategy for development project in FEED and ECP stage, including to review Overall contracting strategy (OCS) and provide any recommendation if can improve.
  • Define contract interfacing between numbers of contract and assure zero gap of scope among contracts including any procurement activities during execution stage e.g. Long lead items, QA/QC service, Construction service, etc.
  • Assist Project engineer to prepare Tender plan or other deliverable to obtain management/committee approval in relating to Contractual management.
  • Drafts appropriate contractual and commercial terms and conditions to best serve and protect Company's interests
  • Be a focal point to develop Call for Tender, reviews bids, conduct negotiations and administer the award of contracts and contract amendments and provision of feedback to bidders
  • Reviews and amends standard contract documentation as required.
  • Work with Project engineer and Discipline engineers to monitor/control the project execution including to monitor the efficiency of contractor and company teams if there is any deficiency to improve.
  • Attend monthly progress meetings and any relevant meetings e.g. Change order meeting, etc.
  • Be a focal point to draft/review all correspondences between company and contractor/vendor/etc.
  • Provide contractual advisory to project team if any dispute or conflict in contract management with contractors.
  • Assist Project engineer in CFT preparation on its related part and evaluate the proposal as may be requested.
  • Support Project Service Manager in any special assignment may have during the execution of project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in law, Engineering or other related field
  • Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations is an advantage but not necessary
  • Fellowship of particular Society/Institute of Arbitration/Construction law, or the like is advantage.

Desired Competency (Skills and Abilities)

  • Must have extensive knowledge of contract management, arbitration, construction law, claims, change orders, mediation, commercial/contractual close-out of project, etc.
  • Must have a good understanding in Oil and Gas business and operation
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in of both Offshore and Onshore facilities
  • Understanding of procurement processes including: ethical principles; bidder prequalification; invitation to tender; comparative evaluation of contractors; & award, management, amendment & close out of contracts
  • Have appropriate practical experience in preparation and negotiation of complex technical contracts in EPC Project life cycle especially in the industries of Oil and Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical
  • Demonstrable general knowledge of commercial, legal and insurance, liability, indemnity & insurances regime
  • Be able to identify/assess relevant risks and modify and/or supplement standard provisions as appropriate
  • Have strong negotiation and convincing skills
  • Good verbal communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outside Department.
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and integrity
  • Stakeholder Management skills - Proven ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external parties



Work Experiences

* Minimum of 20 years' experience in Contract management with proven track record in FEED,
Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of Oil and Gas projects.
* Experiences in Licensor contract management, Novation condition, including to Construction consultancy services.
* Experiences in working as Client and Contractor roles in the Oil and Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical business.
Additional Desirable Qualifications : (please specify, if any)

* Experiences in CFT development and Tendering execution of Offshore/Onshore gas plant/petrochemical/refinery industry are advantage.

Staff Geophysicist

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • A Staff Geophysicist is expected to lead their own projects and work independently of direct supervision with creativity to generate value.
  • Responsible for undertaking seismic interpretations and horizon mapping for use in field development plans, well prognosis and development wells during drilling across a variety of fields and opportunities.
  • Required to generate new satellite field and infill well location ideas, including stratigraphic trapping concepts, and to optimize well targets and trajectories to minimise well costs but maximise resources and reserves.
  • Works with Petrel and RokDoc (and any other appropriate software applications) to generate seismic attribute or inversion volumes that aid geobody and reservoir interpretation.
  • Provides geophysical input into pre-drill well proposals and post-drill well reports.
  • Responsible for loading new seismic and well data and well trajectories with periodic updates.
  • Responsible for optimizing well trajectories in relation to seismic interpretations making full use of attribute and inversion volumes.
  • Responsible for preparing presentation materials that integrate seismic interpretations into field development plans, well proposals and Government regulator reviews to Petronas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A relevant degree in geoscience or physics, ideally with a post-graduate qualification at MSc or PhD level in a relevant geophysical subject.
  • Energetic self-starter capable of setting and achieving multiple milestones with aggressive timelines to create value from geophysical data and projects.
  • A minimum of 12 years' geophysical interpretation work experience, mostly spent within an operating E & P company, resulting in an ability to work competently without direct supervision in most aspects of seismic interpretation to solve complex geophysical problems.
  • An advanced level of workstation skills in 3D seismic interpretation, at least some of which has been undertaken in the Petrel application environment; some experience of RokDoc for rock physics modelling of rock and fluid properties.
  • Several years of applied seismic interpretation experience of working with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of field development projects, ideally associated with stacked multiple oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Skilled in seismic data calibration, seismic to well ties, depth conversation, reservoir characterization and direct hydrocarbon detection from seismic.
  • Expert knowledge of seismic stratigraphy and geomorphology, with an ability to interpret geological structures and stratigraphic relationships within seismic volumes.
  • Excellent understanding of seismic data acquisition and processing methods in offshore settings providing an ability to work with specialist sub-contractors to assess the impact of data acquisition and processing methods on data interpretation, accuracy and validity.
  • Awareness of non-seismic techniques, such as potential field methods, would be advantageous.
  • A keenness to provide technical coaching for more junior geophysical members of the team and the Murphy geophysical community is an important aspect of this role.
  • Experience of working in a PSC licence framework with specific knowledge of the Petronas FDP Milestone Review process is highly desired.
  • Documented experience of leading geophysical interpretation presentations to Management, Partners and Government agencies.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with an ability to write high quality technical reports and communicate effectively to peers, colleagues and managers.

Senior Cargo Operator

The Senior Cargo Operator's function shall include, but may not be limited to the following, which may be revised from time to time as indicated by changes in operational requirements.

Key Objectives

  • To operate and maintain all marine systems in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with the FSO Management System.
  • To understudy the Operations Officer and assume the duties and responsibilities of the Operations Officer during the absence of the Operations Officer from the FSO.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Bridge watch keeper when on passage, at anchor or disconnected from the riser.
  • Ensuring all navigation equipment is functioning correctly, preparation of the bridge for sea, completion of arrival/departure checklists and regular function testing when connected to the riser.
  • Ensure all navigational charts and publications are corrected and up to date, navigational warnings are displayed and complete passage plans and chart work.
  • To monitor FSO stability with reference to stability, trim, stress and bending moments when on shift.
  • Implement the cargo and ballast plan when on shift.
  • Manage the discharge of produced water to designated plan when on shift.
  • Assist Operations Safety Supervisor with tank washing and gas freeing operations as "responsible person".
  • Ensuring the off take equipment and machineries, such as the IGS system, off take meter and prover, cargo pumps, are always functioning correctly.
  • Responsible for the operation of the cargo pump during offtake operation and assist as required.
  • Periodic inspection of cargo/hydraulic lines.
  • Carryout routine helicopter fuel testing operations and assist as helicopter deck crew when required.
  • Calculate daily production figures by way of manual ullages.
  • Maintain FSO keys and security systems.

HSE Responsibilities

  • To provide support during emergency response and take charge of the emergency muster station.
  • To maintain all lifesaving equipment and fire appliances and associated equipment in accordance with PMS schedules.
  • Assist with first aid/assistance to all personnel onboard and the maintenance of the Medical Locker in a clean, hygienic and tidy condition, maintenance of inventories, medical records/logs and checks of medical certificates.

Working Relationships

  • Liaise with Operations Safety Supervisor on day to day marine activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience

  • Relevant operating experience on an FSO or similar FSO preferred and detailed knowledge of tanker operations includes crude oil washing, inert gas systems and marine safety systems.
  • Experience with safety management systems preferred.
  • Experience in berthing and unberthing large vessels at offshore moorings preferred.

Qualifications

  • Chief Mate Class 1 Certificate of Competency or Pumpman or equivalent with Tanker Endorsement.
  • GMDSS Operators Certificate is preferred.
  • Good personal and interpersonal skills, good command of English and culturally aware with experience of working with a multicultural workforce preferred.

  • Assist with preparation & checking of Engineering deliverables.
  • Contribute to Basis for Design and Project Specifications.
  • Assist in performing Engineering Studies.
  • Running of proprietary software.
  • Performing engineering calculations (Production of engineering documents (e.g. PFD's, Equipment list, utility Summaries).
  • Production of technical notes for reporting of study results.
  • Support development of the team for the subject (downstream, energy transition).
  • Support business capture strategies including business development activities and bid preparation.
  • Participate in global initiatives such as CoPs and regional activities.

Qualifications;

  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • BSC, Chartered Engineer
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years experience, mostly in the downstream/refining industry, syngas and syngas derivatives.
  • Experience in new technologies related to energy transition: CCS, Low Carbon solution, Green and Blue H2, Energy intermittency management.
  • Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software.
  • Full command of English language written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of designing of oil and gas processing facilities, including utilities and offsites.
  • Strong simulation skills and analysis of steady state for process plant.
  • Ability to assess key uncertainties impacting process system development.
  • Understanding of offshore process engineering preferred.
