Design Basis, Code & Standard

  • Understanding and applying knowledge of International Codes and Standards, Industrial Standards and Practices as applicable etc. and Interpretation and application of the requirement to meet project requirements.
  • Understanding and applying knowledge of Local Codes and Standards, identify discrepancy with any international standards, competent to resolve problems /trouble shoot based on Codes & Standards interpretation
  • Understand limitation of Codes and Standards, knowledge of Local laws and applicable regulatory requirements and apply with accuracy and effectiveness.
  • In-depth understanding of Client's specification (e.g. PTS, DEP etc.) and provide service which meet contract requirements
  • Review and raise clarifications on the Contractual documents / ITB (Invitation to Bid) in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc. based on experience /judgment.

Knowledge Of Electrical Engineering Activities

  • Competent to review Specifications and Data Sheets, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Review Philosophies, Area Classification Drawings and other relevant documents.
  • Prepare the design basis, single line-diagrams, equipment and cable sizing calculations and other material and equipment analysis for client approval.
  • Guide engineers in the preparation of equipment and material specifications and data sheets.
  • Competent to participate effectively in the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of Load list/schedule, Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, Interconnection Schedules, Equipment Layouts, Cable Routing and Layout Drawings, Cable Trench/Tray Layout Drawings, Lighting System Layout and Details, Earthing/Lightning System Layout and Details, Heat Tracing Layout and Details, Installation Standard Drawings, Protection Drawings and other required documents.
  • Competent to perform/review and analyse the results of Load flow, short circuit, voltage dips and transient stability studies, relay co-ordination and design calculations for lighting, earthing and lightning protection etc. Ability to solve the problems and recommend the way forward.
  • Prepare Inquiry Requisitions to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Competent to review Vendor's various options (including limitation and /or deviation) and provide Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). Review vendor drawings and documents. Ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. Ensure materials are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.
  • Review plot plans, organize the issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC's) coordinate with other engineering discipline in the integration of technical data inputs.
  • Competent to witness vendor FAT / shop testing, inspect vendor works and workshops when required, provide dispatch clearance and test certificates.
  • Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of failures / deficiencies /under-performance /discrepancy during shop testing.
  • Participate in ELSOR/HAZOP meeting with the client and representatives of other engineering disciplines and close out of any action points.
  • Competent to interface and provide clarification, guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers. Provide startup assistance as required.
  • Competent to explore cost-saving options / energy efficient measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available.
  • Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.

Vendor Data Review (VDR)

  • Expert review on Vendor documents to meet Codes and Standards, Local Regulations, project and disciplines requirements
  • Competent to interface with other disciplines like piping group, process, civil, structural and instrumentation.
  • Able to understand interface issues with other disciplines, and resolve any conflict
  • Able to conduct VDR meeting with vendor /support Vendor in case of needs to shorten the VDR duration and to achieve project progress.

Equipment Manufacturing Knowledge

  • Understand manufacturing process, long lead components, critical specifications of equipments, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment
  • Able to anticipate effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment

Perform As Lead Engineer Role

  • In the role as a Lead Engineer, able to provide total commitment to meet project values, monitoring of progress to achieve delivery schedule and execute within appropriate budget/resources.
  • Ability to anticipate, escalate and communicate effectively in time.
  • To provide pro-activeness, creativity and efficiency in project execution.
  • Coordinate and plan resources for execution of project.
  • Participate in the review of contract requirements for project execution, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal, FEED etc, identify requirements and scope of work, plan and prepare the Technical document deliverable list, man-hour estimation and project schedules etc. Ability to identify the scope of work in various phases of projects like conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, EPCM, PMC and accordingly plan and schedule the man hours.
  • Advise Head of Department on the manpower and skill levels required, to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Distribute and assign work to the project team appropriately, to meet the project schedule.
  • Overall manage the development of detailed engineering calculations and drawings. Ensure the lesson learnt from past projects are discussed and applied as required.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss about project progress, priorities and issues. Ability to resolve issues and recommend the way forward to meet project requirement and schedule adhering to the intended quality.
  • Ensure proper communication and coordination among the team members.
  • Establish project filing system and ensure adherence to project requirements and department standards.
  • Liaise with other departments/ disciplines, clients and third parties as required by the projects.
  • Be overall responsible for the quality of work produced.
  • Produce the discipline close-out report once the project completed.
  • Act as the discipline Project Engineer to ensure the project executed within the specified schedules and budget.

Technical Audits

  • Ability to carry out technical audits at the Head of Department request (For Senior Engineer more than 10 years experience)
  • Able to effectively investigate and resolve any quality complaints or incidents raised by any interested parties, or when requested by Client, or project manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • The Candidate shall possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by Board of Engineer Malaysia or approved equivalent.
  • For Senior engineer, Possess at least minimum 8 years of electrical engineering design experiences in onshore / offshore application.
  • For Lead Engineer, Possess at least minimum 12 years of post graduate experience in the similar electrical engineering design experiences for onshore / offshore application.
  • Preferably registered Professional Engineer (PE) with local board or approved equivalent. Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) will be advantageous for Lead Engineering position.

Staff Geophysicist

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • A Staff Geophysicist is expected to lead their own projects and work independently of direct supervision with creativity to generate value.
  • Responsible for undertaking seismic interpretations and horizon mapping for use in field development plans, well prognosis and development wells during drilling across a variety of fields and opportunities.
  • Required to generate new satellite field and infill well location ideas, including stratigraphic trapping concepts, and to optimize well targets and trajectories to minimise well costs but maximise resources and reserves.
  • Works with Petrel and RokDoc (and any other appropriate software applications) to generate seismic attribute or inversion volumes that aid geobody and reservoir interpretation.
  • Provides geophysical input into pre-drill well proposals and post-drill well reports.
  • Responsible for loading new seismic and well data and well trajectories with periodic updates.
  • Responsible for optimizing well trajectories in relation to seismic interpretations making full use of attribute and inversion volumes.
  • Responsible for preparing presentation materials that integrate seismic interpretations into field development plans, well proposals and Government regulator reviews to Petronas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A relevant degree in geoscience or physics, ideally with a post-graduate qualification at MSc or PhD level in a relevant geophysical subject.
  • Energetic self-starter capable of setting and achieving multiple milestones with aggressive timelines to create value from geophysical data and projects.
  • A minimum of 12 years' geophysical interpretation work experience, mostly spent within an operating E & P company, resulting in an ability to work competently without direct supervision in most aspects of seismic interpretation to solve complex geophysical problems.
  • An advanced level of workstation skills in 3D seismic interpretation, at least some of which has been undertaken in the Petrel application environment; some experience of RokDoc for rock physics modelling of rock and fluid properties.
  • Several years of applied seismic interpretation experience of working with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of field development projects, ideally associated with stacked multiple oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Skilled in seismic data calibration, seismic to well ties, depth conversation, reservoir characterization and direct hydrocarbon detection from seismic.
  • Expert knowledge of seismic stratigraphy and geomorphology, with an ability to interpret geological structures and stratigraphic relationships within seismic volumes.
  • Excellent understanding of seismic data acquisition and processing methods in offshore settings providing an ability to work with specialist sub-contractors to assess the impact of data acquisition and processing methods on data interpretation, accuracy and validity.
  • Awareness of non-seismic techniques, such as potential field methods, would be advantageous.
  • A keenness to provide technical coaching for more junior geophysical members of the team and the Murphy geophysical community is an important aspect of this role.
  • Experience of working in a PSC licence framework with specific knowledge of the Petronas FDP Milestone Review process is highly desired.
  • Documented experience of leading geophysical interpretation presentations to Management, Partners and Government agencies.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with an ability to write high quality technical reports and communicate effectively to peers, colleagues and managers.

  • To understudy the Operations Officer and assume the duties and responsibilities of the Operations Officer during the absence of the Operations Officer from the FSO.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Bridge watch keeper when on passage, at anchor or disconnected from the riser.
  • Ensuring all navigation equipment is functioning correctly, preparation of the bridge for sea, completion of arrival/departure checklists and regular function testing when connected to the riser.
  • Ensure all navigational charts and publications are corrected and up to date, navigational warnings are displayed and complete passage plans and chart work.
  • To monitor FSO stability with reference to stability, trim, stress and bending moments when on shift.
  • Implement the cargo and ballast plan when on shift.
  • Manage the discharge of produced water to designated plan when on shift.
  • Assist Operations Safety Supervisor with tank washing and gas freeing operations as "responsible person".
  • Ensuring the off take equipment and machineries, such as the IGS system, off take meter and prover, cargo pumps, are always functioning correctly.
  • Responsible for the operation of the cargo pump during offtake operation and assist as required.
  • Periodic inspection of cargo/hydraulic lines.
  • Carryout routine helicopter fuel testing operations and assist as helicopter deck crew when required.
  • Calculate daily production figures by way of manual ullages.
  • Maintain FSO keys and security systems.

HSE Responsibilities

  • To provide support during emergency response and take charge of the emergency muster station.
  • To maintain all lifesaving equipment and fire appliances and associated equipment in accordance with PMS schedules.
  • Assist with first aid/assistance to all personnel onboard and the maintenance of the Medical Locker in a clean, hygienic and tidy condition, maintenance of inventories, medical records/logs and checks of medical certificates.

Working Relationships

  • Liaise with Operations Safety Supervisor on day to day marine activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience

  • Relevant operating experience on an FSO or similar FSO preferred and detailed knowledge of tanker operations includes crude oil washing, inert gas systems and marine safety systems.
  • Experience with safety management systems preferred.
  • Experience in berthing and unberthing large vessels at offshore moorings preferred.

Qualifications

  • Chief Mate Class 1 Certificate of Competency or Pumpman or equivalent with Tanker Endorsement.
  • GMDSS Operators Certificate is preferred.
  • Good personal and interpersonal skills, good command of English and culturally aware with experience of working with a multicultural workforce preferred.

  • Responsible for all shallow water and HPHT completions engineering duties. Work on an integrated development team with drilling, sub-sea, subsurface, production, facilities and construction. Responsible for advising and development of junior and senior engineers. Use industry contacts to maintain currency in the latest completions engineering technologies and ensure these are communicated to staff.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Preparing, designing and supervising completion programs for shallow water and HPHT development and exploration wells.
  • Provide operations support for day to day shallow water and HPHT completion operations to either Jack Up, Tender Assist, Semi Sub or Drillship.
  • Preparing procedures for and supervising onsite completion operations, slickline, electric line, coiled tubing, acidizing, data acquisition and workover operations.
  • Responsible for interface management with Drilling, Sub-sea, Subsurface, Production, Facilities, Construction and Pipelines.
  • Preparation and review of technical tender documents for third party equipment and services.
  • Solving technical problems related to well operations. Witness SIT/FAT testing of critical completion and sub-sea equipment as required.
  • Lead CWOP and post well review meeting. Assisting Drilling Section in exploration well testing operations.
  • Provide support to Production Operations Section on well handover, well bean up procedure, and initial phase of hydrocarbon flowing monitoring.
  • Perform Hazard, Risk and Simultaneous Operations Assessments.
  • Advise and develop skills of junior and senior completions engineers.

Working Relationship

  • Reporting to Head, Well Services Section and advising on operational progress, safety issues, and operations forecast.
  • Liaise with other Development Team members and extended team members in drilling, facilities, Subsea, Production and other Subsurface disciplines.


Qualifications And Experience

  • Qualification: Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Working Experience: 15-20 years in offshore well completions and well servicing with a minimum of 5 years in High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) Completion experience.
  • Detailed working knowledge and experience in tubing sizing selection, equipment material testing, selection and specifications, completion fluids selection, sand face lower completion, core upper completion and wellhead Christmas Tree design and specifications for HPHT well environment.
  • Working knowledge of reservoir and Production engineering
  • Knowledge of well service operations and equipment in HPHT well environment including slickline, electric logging, coiled tubing and nitrogen.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tender/contract document, tubing movement and packer envelope analysis, torque and drag analysis, well proposal, well completion procedure, cost estimate, AFE and end of well report (EOWR).
  • Experienced preparing basic of design documentation (completion basis of design, Field Development Plan). Experience in international operation is a plus
