KEY OBJECTIVES

You will be responsible for providing engineering parts of offshore pipelines to fulfil the requirements of pre-qualifications, call for tenders & bid evaluations and recommendations to award (RTA).

You will oversee route survey and offshore pipelines both basic engineering and EPCI phases. In the execution phase, you will supervise the FEED and EPCI Contractor to carry out the detailed engineering, pipeline procurement packages, pipeline coating/anode, transportation and pipeline laying.

You will coordinate and update the project progress to all concerned parties including troubleshooting and suggesting possible solutions until the problem have been closed out.

You will ensure that all tasks are executed in accordance with the project strategies, project specifications & procedures, SSHE requirements, and within timeframe while maintaining the highest work quality level.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be a project focal point of offshore pipeline system design (pipeline, riser, bend, coating, concrete, etc.) for Lang Lebah development.
  • Prepare and fulfil the technical requirements of offshore pipelines system to the tendering process from project strategy, shortlist, evaluation until the award.
  • Oversee the engineering contractor to complete offshore pipeline basic engineering and basis of design for EPCI package.
  • Oversees/Supervises the FEED and EPCI Contractors to carry out the FEED, detailed engineering, equipment/ material specifications, procurement strategy, pipeline material packages, coating, transportation and pipeline laying.
  • Responsible to ensure that all pipeline engineering works are completed in accordance with the applicable contract(s), specifications, design codes and standards including company, client, and Government requirements and regulations as well as the Project Quality and HSE plan during FEED and EPCIC.
  • Review metocean data and verify the data to be used in each area e.g. offshore, shallow water, shore approach
  • Review geophysical and light geotechnical survey data and reports including verify the data of existing facilities related to pipelines in the development project
  • Review and verify the riser locations at CPP together with piping, structural and safety engineers considering the topmost benefits to company in terms of installability of future pipeline tie-ins, cost effectiveness, safety concerns, flare radiation etc.
  • Supervise and control of pipeline FEED and detailed engineering activities. Review engineering activities e.g. wall thickness design, cathodic protection, on-bottom stability, end expansion, on-bottom roughness, allowable free span analysis, riser and tie-in spool design, global buckling and walking, riser VIV, riser clamp design, pipeline crossing, dropped object analysis, all relevant drawings etc.
  • Supervise and provide guidance of preparing project particular specifications for pipeline design, materials, construction, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning. Project particular specification for line pipe shall be developed considering high resistant to H2S embrittlement and associated effects, low temperature services for rapid depressurized event, steel metallurgical and composition, steel grade optimization in consultation with the integrated pipe mills.
  • Assure the technical quality of engineering activities involved with the design, procurement, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of offshore pipelines and associated facilities.
  • Ensure that all pipeline engineering activities comply with project specifications, relevant codes and standards, 3rd Party agreements, authority regulations, and Government legislation.
  • Support process engineers in reviewing the flow assurance studies
  • Support safety engineers in pipeline risk assessment study, riser impairment analysis and SSIV study and pipeline dropped object risk assessment study
  • Support piping engineers in reviewing topside piping system connected to risers and pipelines. Interface with related discipline during FEED and EPCI work such as flow assurance, pipeline risk assessment, safety studies, ALARP, HAZID and HAZOP
  • Contact and engage third party consultants for engineering service of preliminary Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) study to avoid Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) and ascertain weld quality and opportunity arriving acceptable flaw size
  • Contact and engage third party consultants for engineering service of burial, trenching and backfilling requirements at shallow water and shore approach areas for cost and specific design optimization purposes
  • Manage assigned relevant pipeline contracts in accordance with scope of work and to budget and schedule.
  • Support project team to prepare CFT Package, perform technical bid clarification and prepare technical bid evaluation for pipeline LLI, EPCIC and Pan Malaysia Pipeline Installation.
  • Participates the procurement strategies and the procurement processes to obtain the most appropriated vendors to provide the pipeline materials and services. Work includes the bidder list reviews, material specifications, evaluations, service orders/contracts, recommendation, vendor's inspection and test plans (ITP), manufacturing progress, logistic, custom clearance and delivery.
  • Support project and Asset team in preparing any technical information required for getting an approval from other operators and/or third parties e.g. crossing over the existing pipeline of other operators
  • Support project team to sourcing third party services e.g. CA, MWS
  • Responsible for all procurement activities of pipeline and riser long-lead items e.g. pipeline, induction bends, pipeline and bend coatings from RFQ package preparation until long-lead items are ready at site. The activities shall include but not limited to preparing RFQ package and TBE criteria, technical clarifications/qualifications, technical bid evaluation, kick-off meeting with manufacturers, supervision and quality control on manufacturer documents e.g. MPS, ITP, NDE, SSC, HIC procedures, supervision and control in manufacturing procedure qualification tests and productions, QA/QC inspection, transportation between manufacturers, interface management between manufacturers, transportation to site, MWS approval.
  • Supervise and control FEED and/or EPCI contractor in procurement of other pipeline materials
  • Responsible for coordination and communication with other disciplines, as the pipeline focal point, to complete the work in compliance with the contract requirements.
  • Participate and contribute to technical review sessions e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP, PTR, etc. as the pipeline focal point.
  • Supervise and control in fabrication and construction of pipelines and risers e.g. welding procedure specifications and qualifications including repair procedures, welders and welding operators qualifications and welding personnel list, NDT procedures and qualifications, field joint coating procedures and qualifications, field joint applicator qualifications
  • Supervise and control in transportation and installation engineering and installation activities of all pipelines at offshore including shallow water and shore approach
  • Support Company Site Representatives to resolve any technical issues during pipeline installation campaign. If no separate Company Site Representatives assigned, senior pipeline engineer shall manage team to be and/or be responsible as Company Site Representative on board/at shore site during pipeline installation activities
  • Interface with Operation team, and support external parties including other PACs other operators to ensure a smooth design, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning and handover of offshore pipelines and risers interface
  • Interface and support Onshore Gas Plant team to ensure a smooth design, procurement, construction, installation of shore approach at OGP2 including pre-commissioning and commissioning interface activities of related pipeline
  • Interface with Operations and Production during commissioning and start-up to ensure a smooth handover.
  • Interface and support other disciplines for engineering, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities related to pipelines
  • Involve in fabrication, coating, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover to Operations.
  • Responsible for expediting all pipeline engineering works including engineering reviews and approval of deliverables from contractors and vendors
  • Participates the procurement strategies and the procurement processes to obtain the most appropriated vendors to provide the pipeline materials and services. Work includes the bidder list reviews, material specifications, evaluations, service orders/contracts, recommendation, vendor's inspection and test plans (ITP), manufacturing progress, logistic, custom clearance and delivery.
  • Monitor and appraise the performance of the contractors. Initiate and implement the corrective actions when the performance of the contractor deviates from the project direction/requirements.
  • Participate the hook-up and the commissioning work to comply with the specifications, procedures and codes/standards
  • Report the progress of the works to a line supervisor. Identifies the problem areas, solving and suggests the appropriated solutions/actions to a line supervisor as necessary.
  • Promote and ensure effective implementation of SSHE rules and engineering best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Civil/ Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Offshore pipeline system (pipeline, riser, crossing, shore approach pipeline, etc.) design, Shallow water pipeline system design, and Construction of pipeline system as discipline engineer with proven track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Transportation, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning
  • Experiences in reviewing pipeline engineering activities e.g. wall thickness design, cathodic protection, on-bottom stability, end expansion, on-bottom roughness, allowable free span analysis, riser and tie-in spool design, global buckling and walking, riser VIV, riser clamp design, pipeline crossing, dropped object analysis, all relevant pipeline drawings etc.
  • Experienced in high H2S and high CO2 gas contents and involved in material qualification for both carbon steel and cladded CRA e.g. Inconel.
  • Experience in high temperature subsea pipeline design
  • Effective computer skills in discipline-specific software e.g. MathCAD, AGA, SAGE Profiler, PIPESIM, AutoPIPE, Finite element software, StableLines etc.
  • Familiar with pipeline calculation using spread sheets or other tools
  • Have extensive knowledge and familiar with different pipeline design codes e.g. ASME B31.8, DNVGL RP F101, API 1111, API 1104, and other international codes and standards applicable for Pipeline system design e.g. DNVGL, ISO, NACE, etc.
  • Experiences as Company Site Representative and/or field engineer during pipeline installation for major project are preferable
  • Experiences in CFT development and Tendering execution of Offshore/Onshore gas plant/petrochemical/refinery industry are advantage
  • Familiarity with Malaysian oil & gas operator operating and control practices is a benefit
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Has understanding in procurement process (preferable)
  • Good communication skills to liaise well with customer and government agencies
  • Excellent in communication and presentation skills, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outside Department.
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills and integrity

The role requires technical knowledge of Generator components, its assembly and dismantling. In this role, you are accountable for direct operations supervision, prescribed work instructions and systems checking to ensure tasks are executed within a well-defined operations framework.   • Drawings and documents for Generators: Review the drawings and documents; prepare the materials requirements including consumables for each Generator activities.
  • Material and consumable verification including preservation and ensuring the timely identification and notification for each Generator assemblies assigned.
  • Tools and plants, equipment, special tools, precision tools, measuring instruments. verification and ensuring the timely identification and notification for each Generator assemblies assigned.
  • Guiding the team, stage verification of activities and ensuring the works are being carried as per the drawing requirements and quality requirements for one or more Generator assemblies assigned to individual Supervisor to ensure a high level of quality and timely completion of documentation
  • Lead site safety audits, identify, review Environment, Safety and Health (EHS) requirements as per risk assessment, prepare EHS monthly reports and guide the team and ensure every individual are followed the EHS requirements for respective Generator assemblies assigned to individual Supervisor.
  • Involve in work front handling over and taking over from and to client and within inter departmental.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
  • Min 3 years work experience and exposure related to the Generator installation.
  • Experience in Generator assembly would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Knowledge of welding and machining would be an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Proactive approach for safe & quality work.

Senior Engineer, Reservoir Engineering

We are seeking for a position Senior Engineer, Reservoir Engineer to be based at our client office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Full reservoir engineering responsibility for assigned Field(s).
  • Establish technically accurate reservoir system descriptions for clastic depositional facies for all assigned sub-surface assets and projects.
  • Conduct detailed technical evaluations of reserves and fluid distributions in individual reservoir system utilizing petrophysical, geological and seismic data.
  • Define standard and special core and PVT analysis programs for dynamic reservoir properties for inputs into analytical and numerical simulation models.
  • Build fully integrated reservoir simulation models utilizing latest geological modeling techniques and reservoir simulation numerical / analytical analysis methods (i.e. Petrel, Eclipse).
  • Develop well production and deliverability profiles for different field production scenarios using industry standard well inflow and tubing performance analysis software (GAP/PROSPER/MBAL).
  • Build complex simulation models using Eclipse software. Conduct reservoir simulation history matching for reserves monitoring and optimizing recovery efficiency under primary and secondary recovery mechanisms.
  • Develop well production and deliverability profiles for different field production scenarios as required.
  • Establish and maintain technical database of all reservoir properties and performance data in conjunction with FDPs' & FFRs', all history matching, and predictions simulation runs.
  • Provide management support information for the compilation of regular progress reports, project status, reserves and development option reviews.
  • Provide training and mentoring for technical knowledge and skills development for more junior engineers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build production forecasts for inputs to economic models.
  • Develop production performance history match integrated reservoir inflow and tubing performance relationships for oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Oversight and input into monthly, quarterly and annual corporate and Petronas reserves evaluation process.
  • Solve all technical problems relating to reservoir engineering and petroleum engineering tasks relating to the accurate characterization of reservoir rock & fluid systems.
  • Develop well production and deliverability profiles for different field production scenarios.
  • Technical oversight and input into the reservoir engineering sections of FDP and FFR milestone reviews and coordination of FDP and FFR submissions
  • Define production optimization programs to production department and services companies and develop schedules and activity plans for the associated work programs.
  • Liaise with other technical and commercial disciplines (drilling, geology, production, planning, commercial) to ensure constructive and full integration of pertinent data into all reservoir asset evaluations.
  • Provide management support information for the compilation of regular progress reports, project status, reserves and development option reviews.
  • Work to develop subsurface best practices in core Reservoir Engineering skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree / master's in petroleum engineering or similar engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with 10 years' experience in an exploration and production or service-related company on field developments - focusing in reserves evaluation, simulation modeling and development engineering
  • Major experience with practical application of reservoir engineering principles to optimize reserves, recovery factors and production under various reservoir production strategies in oil and gas reservoirs.
  • Extensive experience in waterflood management and developing reservoir management plans.
  • Extensive experience in initiating workover and infill drilling activities and seeing them through to execution.
  • Experienced in leading projects and coordinating teams with an interest in moving into future leadership roles
  • Established history of skills development and mentoring of junior engineers.

About The Job
Perform as Senior Civil Engineer in project execution and takes the ownership of the specific tasks in a project:

  • Technical responsibility of Civil design work.
  • Performing Civil Design Calculations and Reports.
  • Coordination with other discipline Engineers.
  • Forecasting of MTO's for his/her design area.
  • Reviewing vendor documents


Main Accountabilities

  • Perform or initiate conceptual design for civil works.
  • Prepare Civil Design Criteria and Design Specifications.

  • Manage and review third party specialist study or design in accordance with specific project or client requirements.
  • Provide technical support to Permitting Section for planning approvals from all relevant authorities.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to drafter and designer.
  • Review and incorporate vendor data.
  • Review shop drawings.
  • Provide all necessary civil information to other departments.
  • Coordinate with all the other discipline lead engineers / engineers.
  • Participate in 3D model review.
  • Produce engineering deliverables or tasks on schedule and within the allocated manhour.
  • Ensure quality of the deliverables is of the expected level.
  • Check and ensure construction drawings meet quality and HSE objectives of the project.
  • Provide man-hour and material cost estimating for proposals.
  • Develop in-house programs.


Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in design and execution of the projects in onshore oil and gas.
  • Familiarity with all technical aspects of the Civil discipline
  • Fluency in professional English
  • Construction experience on site (Preferrable)
