POSITION: Senior Engineer, Interface (Open to Applications from Malaysian Nationals Only)

REPORTING TO: Head of Project Service Section

TYPE: 2 year Staff Contract

LOCATION: KL Office

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

Responsible for interfacing and coordinating works for both Offshore Facilities and Onshore Gas Plant projects starting from FEED/EPC tendering until completion of FEED/EPC execution, i.e. Basic engineering design, Detailed engineering design, Procurement, construction & pre-commissioning, commissioning, plant performance test and handover to operation.

The job holder also interfaces, coordinates and manages multi-disciplinary engineers, contractors, vendors, JV partners, Government authorities, Community, nearby Plant, and so on, to deliver the projects in accordance to Company technical requirement, schedule and budget. He/she also be responsible to monitor and highlight if there is any potential interface issue throughout the project execution including to propose/implement the practical solution.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Senior Interface engineer shall be responsible for the Project interface covering all Engineering Phases from CFT development, Bidding execution, Basic engineering, Detailed engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Performance test of Offshore Facilities and Onshore Gas Plant

The Senior Interface Engineer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the followings:

  • Be a project focal point to develop project coordination and interface plan both among Project team and External
  • Ensure the effective coordinating interfaces between offshore facilities and with Project team and external parties g. nearby Plants, Communities, JV partners, etc.
  • Ensure alignment of design information share/exchange between two Project teams in timely
  • Facilitate meeting, workshop, coordination between Client project team, Asset, JV partner, government authority, Contractor, Supplier, Operation, Maintenance, Community, nearby Plant,

  • Responsible to provide justification to resolve relevant project interface
  • Participate and contribute to technical review sessionsg. Risk assessment, HAZID, Project Technical Review, etc. as a project interface focal point.
  • Identify the need for and ensure appropriate reviews and audits are implemented to support assurance of interface management
  • Tracking and expediting critical equipment and materials with support from Cost and Planning
  • Provide interface supports during bidding, engineering, procurement, logistic, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning phases to project engineers, where
  • Monitor and resolve any project interface issues surfaced at job-sites expeditiously for smooth completion of construction and Plant performance
  • Work with Project engineer to ensure proper Final documentation handover and punch list clearance prior handing over to
  • Provide regular report to the Project Service Manager and establish a daily routine with the Project Service Manager on all project interface
  • Support Project Service Manager in any special assignment may have during the execution of

Professional Knowledge & Experience: Education Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field
  • Master Degree is advantage but not necessary

Desired Competency (Skills and Abilities)

  • Familiar with international codes and standards commonly accepted in the oil and gas industry including to related local regulations for offshore and onshore
  • Thorough understanding of the risks and the technical/commercial issues associated with the development of oil and gas
  • Stakeholder Management skills - Proven ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external parties
  • Very good in communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outside
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills, integrity and problem solving in complex project and business
  • Must have good knowledge of project management and Capital project life

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Offshore Oil&Gas.
  • Experiences in FEED/EPC for Offshore or Onshore facility in the similar scope/scale with
  • Experiences in interface management and stakeholder management g. Asset, JV Partner, Government authority, etc.

Additional Desirable Qualifications : (please specify, if any)

  • Experiences in executed any project in Sarawak area is desired

Senior Engineer - Structural

Petroplan are assisting an Exploration & Production client in their search for a Senior Engineer - Structural to join them on a permanent basis. One would supervise all technical matters relating to Structural engineering and Naval architectural engineering during FEED and EPCIC of the offshore facilities.

The engineer would need to ensure all Structural and Naval architectural engineering for the projects assigned is fully functional as intended, meets the project requirements, is cost effective and meets planned schedules.

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Core Competencies/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in Offshore Central processing platform and other offshore structural facilities (e.g. Wellhead platform, Flare platform, Bridges, etc.) with proven track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPCI, projects management & execution.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Offshore structural engineering and Naval Architectural engineering.
  • Execute Structural engineering in design/construction/transportation/installation aspects.
  • Perform various activities including basic engineering or Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), procurement package and strategy, fabrication, installation, and commissioning to support the construction of the major gas field development.
  • Familiar with structural software including SACS, USFOS, FEA, GRLWEAP, MOSES, etc.

Technical Assistan/ Document control

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Provision of Engineering document preparation, document management, technical
  • assistance, administrative and general support to project team.
  • Focal point of project's document management during Project execution until handover to Operation on Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) administration.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide technical support to all disciplines in the project team as may be requested e.g.
  • generating any spreadsheet/database, register any project information, prepare TOR or
  • Engineering dossier for particular workshop, etc.
  • Scheduling and organizing the meeting, take minutes of meeting, etc.
  • Supporting and maintaining data management and data processing.
  • Manage document filing and retrieval system for reports, correspondences, logs, maps and figures.
  • Perform quality check (eg. revision number & description, document title and etc.) and
  • validate authenticity of documents before uploading to EDMS.
  • Ensure the correct information is timely distributed to the right people.
  • Establish and maintain Master Document Registers in cooperation with Project
  • Management Team, and contractors/vendors.
  • Communicate with the Project Management Team and contractors/vendors on agreed milestones and systems on the handover and close-out of Project activity to ensure consistency in document control requirements.
  • Support Project Services Manager in any special assignment may have during the execution of project.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

  • Coordinate with Project team members and other focal points in other relevant departments including to JV Partners and MPM.
  • Contractors, Vendors and Consultants on Document Control related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or above in Secretarial or equivalent (basic degree/diploma, etc).
  • Minimum 5 years document control related experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Must have hands-on experience in Microsoft Office which includes Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Corel Draw and others.
  • Have experience in Engineering or Construction project is preference.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
