Job Description

Our Client an International EPC Company require an Procurement Lead to join their team Oman on a Contract basis. The role will be offered with a negotiable all-inclusive hourly rate along with Visas, Mobilisation/Demobilisation flights and insurances provided

Job Overview

You'll be responsible for leading, planning, organising and executing project procurement activities and through delegation and coaching the full sourcing process for material and services.

Responsibilities;

  • Ensure the highest standard of confidentiality and business ethics with due diligence during all phases of the project
  • Develop & Implement FEED Office Procurement Guidelines and Work Flow
  • Develop & Implement FEED Office Procurement Norms for CTR
  • Develop & Implement Procurement Durations Norms for Pre-Award and Post-Award activities for Schedule preparation
  • Develop & Implement Material Procurement Tracking Register (MPTR) and Vendor Documents Tracking Register Templates.
  • Ensure the SAP set-up for FEED Office is in place and
  • Continuous development/ improvement in the FEED Office Procurement Guidelines, Work Flow Diagrams, Templates, CTR Norms, Procurement Durations
  • Build a procurement team and ensure that personnel are qualified to perform the tasks
  • Prepare the Job Descriptions for each role and ensure that the roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and explained to the Team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or
  • Extensive experience in EPC projects preferably in Oil & Gas industry along with experience gained on FEED projects
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

Job Description/Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
The Telecom Commissioning & Security Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and leading the telecom commissioning activities during pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup of the process equipment up to final handover to Operations.

Requirements (Education required, background, experience, skills)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication engineering (or any relevant discipline) with Minimum of 10 years of experience in telecom construction, testing and commissioning in oil & gas / petrochemical industry with a minimum of 4 years in supervisory role.
  • Experience telecom and security systems knowledge regarding local authority approvals, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and testing for telecom systems and security systems including TETRA radio, marine radio, marine radar, access control, fencing intrusion detection, buildings security, Plant & long range CCTVs, telecom tower, PAGA, LAN/WAN and telephone communication (local and with third parties / authorities).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good PC skills
