This will be a permanent staff residential role.
Your main duties will be to manage the operations of the Emergency Communication (ECC) and Emergency Operations Coordination (EOC) centres.
Manage support to on-site emergency services teams during incidents and exercises.
To apply you must have the following:
Degree in Science/Engineering, Emergency/Disaster Management or related technical discipline from an internationally recognised university.
15 year HSE experience
Professional qualifications in Emergency/Disaster Management from internationally recognised bodies
Expert knowledge of international emergency management standards and best practices.
Proven experience in working in diverse teams across several organizations.

Overview of position
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing all activities required for carrying out geophysical, hydrographic, ROV and offshore geotechnical surveys and accurate positioning of offshore installations. Act as Subject Matter Expert in the field of Hydrographic Surveying. Responsible for developing and managing offshore facilities and seabed survey GIS database. Publish tide tables and updated field charts to facilitate safe navigation. Manage oceanographic / metocean / tidal observations obtained as part of engineering projects. Develop and manage hydrographic survey standards and procedures.
Accountabilities
Prepare scope of work, evaluate bids, review and approve deliverables for geophysical, hydrographic, ROV and offshore geotechnical surveys to ensure that the survey data meet offshore engineering project requirements.
Ensure accurate positioning of offshore structures and subsea infrastructure during their installation.
Develop and manage GIS database of offshore and subsea facilities and seabed survey data.
Publish tide tables and updated field charts required for safe navigation of vessels during offshore engineering projects and other marine operations.
Inspect and approve survey and positioning equipment onboard vessels mobilized for offshore surveys and other marine operations.
Author and update hydrographic surveying standards and procedures.
Provide discipline support for offshore engineering projects and other stakeholders as Subject Matter Expert in the field of hydrographic surveying.
Oversee and coordinate activities of survey supervisors onboard vessels.
Manage oceanographic / met-ocean / tidal observations obtained during offshore engineering projects.
Carry out spatial analysis and visualization of seabed geophysical data using Fledermaus, ArcGIS and other software to support offshore engineering projects.
Decision Making Authority
1. Fully independent and use own judgment based on experience and technical knowledge.
2. Responsible to act on behalf of companyRepresentative's nominated deputy with commensurate responsibility for all matters pertaining the projects assigned.
3. Work independently in dealing with projects assigned to him as team leader.
4. Responsible for identifying and implementing corporate geospatial data and hydrographic survey policies and standards.
5. Works closely with Head of Geospatial Information Systems to implement corporate level data flow to ensure timely update of offshore GIS.
6. Provides / approves technical solutions related to Offshore and subsea Geospatial Information content management and services.
Challenges:
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Bachelor Degree in Hydrographic Surveying / Land Surveying / Geomatics / Civil Engineering or equivalent. Post graduate diploma in GIS is highly desirable.
Minimum 15 years experience in conducting / supervising hydrographic surveying activities of which 10 years should be in offshore oil and gas industry. Candidate should be well versed with planning and conducting geophysical / hydrographic / ROV / offshore geotechnical surveys, positioning of offshore structures and subsea infrastructure, Oceanographic / Metocean / tidal observations and calculations and use of associated software and equipment. Working knowledge in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on ArcGIS platform and Fledermaus software are highly desirable.
Candidate with additional experience in topographic / underground surveying in onshore oil and gas field and wells and facility setting out surveys is preferred.
Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, lateral and critical thinking, strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
