Primary purpose of job
To provide corporate governance requirements for specification/selection and use of materials for corrosion protection and corrosion prevention and controls methods to assure the HSE risks associated with the life cycle integrity Client assets mitigated to level that is as Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) and in compliance with statutory requirements, mandatory regulations, technical standards and best industry practices.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 12 years relevant post graduate experience specification/selection and use of Materials and implementation of Corrosion Engineering, with minimum 8 years in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical related industries with emphasis on integrity aspects of design, operation, maintenance and inspection, with at least 5 years in similar responsible position. Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Materials Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineering Status or Equivalent.-Preferred Post Graduate Degree in Corrosion / Metallurgy or Materials Engineering.
