Project Procurement Team Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Scope:
Will be responsible for the implementation of project procurement processes within assigned projects, for interface management within client's project- and line organisation and the contracted engineering partner with respect to all commercial issues and for the award of contracts related to the assigned project in accordance with the clients Project Procurement Guidelines.
Will take over responsibility for category group assigned to him as member of category management team within the Procurement organisation. Manages the disciplinary affairs of his team and is responsible for his cost center.

Main Accountabilities:
Planning and forecasting duties:

  • The responsible set up of Project Supply Plans and planning of the project procurement schedule for the projects assigned. Forecasting of resources to be allocated according the project progress by using the tools and methods as defined in CPP working instructions.


Industry knowledge:
Deep understanding of project management principles and of market mechanisms for:

  • Application of the procurement directives at the according engineering office
  • Contract and contractor strategies for projects based on PSP (Project Supply Plan)
  • Contract tactics
  • Specification of the list of suppliers and the project implementation plan in cooperation with head of CPP and the nominated project leader based on the clients Project Supplier list /alignment with CM


Job requirements:

  • Several years of verifiable successful activity in the procurement of materials and services that are similar with regard to the content or the organization of the suppliers;
  • Relevant experience: 10 years
  • Experience in collaboration to projects and project management;
  • Experience in the application of project management tools and methods
  • Knowledge of all relevant possibilities of IT application.
  • Availability for business travel within the group and to the according supply markets;
