Overview

We are seeking a Compressor Specialist to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Team within our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD).

GMSD is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical, and in some cases business, support requirements of Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation Admin Area and company affiliates. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs of Global Manufacturing, operating facilities management, and driving the performances of operating facilities in executing corporate programs and initiatives towards operational excellence and value creation.

Your primary role will be to provide technical evaluation and assessment of Compressors including all the relevant auxiliary systems in the refining, NGLF, and petrochemical plants.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide technical support to the operation team during the entire lifecycle of the compressors, analyzing their performances, operative conditions and boundaries, in order to guarantee reliable and safe operations.
  • Troubleshoot Compressors & Rotating Equipment failures & performance.
  • Utilize knowledge and familiarity with the international standards in order to improve the equipment performance.
  • Implement best-in-class solutions pertaining to the rotating equipment and Compressors in particular, as foreseen by international standards and other internal company standards.
  • Lead efficiency improvement initiates, upgrading programs, & projects for Compressors.
  • Provide technical solutions whenever the machines experience failures, utilizing sound maintenance strategies to analyze, address and rectify the root causes in order to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Propose changes in operating modes, or technological improvement, or maintenance strategies implementation, in order to support the company vision of continuous improvement throughout collaboration and people conversation.

Minimum Requirements

  • You must have a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
  • You should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in the rotating equipment discipline, with at least 5 years of specialized experience in compressors, and 5 years relevant experience in the field of troubleshooting & assessments.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international codes, standards and specifications, including API610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 692 is required.
  • Familiarity with the basic investigation tools and techniques like FRACAS, RCA, and TAPROOT is an added value.

Your Role:

Your primary role is to provide civil/structural engineering support that includes troubleshooting, investigations and provide technical supports for running HC facilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field troubleshooting as requested.
  • Provide support to major T&Is and emergency plant shutdowns.
  • Provide support to maintenance support organizations by developing repair procedures or just simply follow up on-going repairs.
  • Provide proposals for repairs or avail any idea that can come up from the execution team from a technical stand point.
  • Provide engineering support to repair deteriorated concrete foundations and corroded steel structures.
  • Review detailed drawings and material specifications from the Layout Group for steel structure modifications as requested by maintenance.
  • Participate in HAZOP reviews.
  • Perform structural calculations in accordance with AISC and company standards, to determine if an existing steel structure can safely support increases in load, and provide recommendations to strengthen the structure when required.
  • Perform calculations in accordance with ACI and company standards, to determine if an existing foundation can continue to safely support a load based on concrete in a deteriorated condition, and provide recommendations to repair the foundation when required.
  • Carry out technical assessments of all the miscellaneous items, example: roof waterproofing membranes, joint sealants, anchor bolts, structural bolts, coatings, etc.
  • Perform structural calculations to determine where temporary supports are required during construction and any other structural modification as requested.
  • Provide detailed repair procedures to close out inspection work sheets.
  • Develop in-house detailed design packages to modify facilities, such as buildings (offices, PIB, control rooms, substations, etc.), equipment supports structures and foundations. Typically, a field survey is conducted to gather data and formulate a safe, constructible, and economically viable solution for the project. A typical package includes: the scope of work,
  • steel framing layout, connection details, foundation size and reinforcing steel arrangement, material take-off, and sequence of construction.
  • Review and approve from a technical standpoint all quotations received, as requested by maintenance when deemed necessary.
  • Perform civil/structural reviews and provide comments to foundation layout, equipment support schemes, buildings, steel and concrete material specification, specialty items specification, structural calculation, constructability, etc.
  • Evaluate safety suggestions and provide technical review comments along with recommendations.
  • Perform technical evaluation and feasibility assessment of employees' suggestions.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • You should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Oil/Gas Industry as a civil engineer (running facilities)
  • Knowledge of the international standards and codes AISC, ACI and API (especially API-936) is essential.

Minimum Requirements

  • As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgy Engineering.
  • You must have a minimum of 5 years' design and/or plant operations experience, preferably in the oil and gas business, such as Gas and Oil Separation Plants (GOSPs), or similar relevant process industries.
  • You must have Corrosion/Material engineering discipline knowledge and field experience to support and maintain day-to-day reliable operations.
  • You should have experience in the support of both small and large-scale capital projects.

Make final review of accuracy and nature of data for release to safeguard the company's best interests

Keep current on engineering, research, mechanical and operational procedures and equipment in the United States and other foreign countries and recommend adaptation and application of those that can be used advantageously in the company's area of operations

Review work of engineers directed on projects where additional manpower has been assigned

Assist in training and indoctrination of new engineering personnel

Minimum Requirements

  • The candidate should have at least a minimum of 7 years of experience as a production engineer in an upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in electric submersible pump design, installation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Construction Manager in KSA, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or above.

A Degree/Master's Degree in the fields of Electric or Industrial Engineering is required.

Certificate holders for electric engineers and construction engineers will be preferred.

Applicants who are Arabic speakers and with English communication full proficiency will be preferred.

We are currently supporting a major Oil and Gas company in their search for a Planning & Performance Management Analyst to join their Domestic Refining & NGL Fractionation (DR&NGLF) Admin Area Executive Office.
DR&NGLF Admin Area manages and operates 4 wholly-owned refineries, 4 Joint Venture refineries and 2 NGL Fractionation plants.

The position is based in Saudi Arabia on a permanent basis but is open to expatriate employees.

You will perform analytical reviews of financials, operational analysis, planning and reporting activities such as budgeting, accountability, KPI reporting, cost control, contracts and technical or business analysis projects.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Responsible for the preparation and design of management reports analyzing the Admin Area financial and non-financial performance.
  • Develop techniques or mechanisms to dissect the refining business performance and provide advice on improvement actions.
  • Offer analytical support for department on project evaluation and commercial arrangement economic assessment.
  • Provide strategic analysis of business-related activities and coordinating administrative activities.
