Lead HVAC Designer
Contract - Saudi Arabia

Petroplan are currently recruiting for a Lead HVAC Designer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to work in our clients offices in Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job responsibilities:

• Assist Lead HVAC Engineer in providing technical excellence.
• Update the HVAC and Plumbing Drafting stick files.
• Perform vendor data review of equipment and components in their assigned area.
• Routinely report job progress report to Lead Engineer
• Responsible for preparing & checking CADD drawings for the projects such as HVAC Layouts & Sections, HVAC Equipment Schedule, HVAC Control Schematics, Plumbing Layouts & Utility Layouts, Isometrics & Riser Diagrams.
• Provide insight and trouble shoot into site queries and provide solutions to complex technical queries regarding routing of plumbing layouts, invert levels & coordinate building services with other disciplines.
• Assist Lead Engineer in preparing Material take offs for HVAC & Plumbing.
• Support Design Supervisor in maintaining a needs list of design criteria to support completion of their assigned area.
• Support Design Supervisor and Project Management in presentation to project team to support Design / Drafting concepts and progress.
• Be familiar with Design / Drafting department standards and procedures and support the Design Supervisor in interpretation and implementation of standards and procedures.
• Support the Design Supervisor in the review of existing Design / Drafting standards and procedures and recommend changes and revisions to existing standards and procedures as required.
• Mentoring / Guiding trainees / new joiners on the nuances of design of HVAC and Plumbing and give presentations if needed to empower them.

Skills / Qualifications

• Experience in design Min 12 years & Min 5 years in Middle East.
• 3 years Engineering Diploma or equivalent
• Must have working knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
• Extensive Experience in HVAC/ Plumbing.
• Must have handled the design of complex projects for Saudi Aramco and SABIC.
• Must have extensive experience with RC, Saudi Aramco, SABIC & international Standards.
• Has experience in the supervision of designers and CADD operators.
• Has experience in design, detail drafting, and preparation of material takes-offs.
• Must have knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Have experience with development, enhancement, and maintenance of 3D graphic visual display and modelling work.
