Overview
We are seeking a Strategy & Market Analyst to join their Strategy & Long-Term Term Planning Division under Power Systems Planning Department.
The primary role is to perform detailed analysis (strategic, financial and operational) on the power sector, energy markets, peer group companies/organizations and geographies as determined to be in scope as well to construct analytical and financial models for developing insights into strategies and performance of peer group companies.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Gather, research and draw insights into trends in technology, strategic choices and markets.
Conduct economic and feasibility analysis of potential strategic options for PS, with guidance from the Specialist/Consultant and other SMEs as needed.
Prepare presentations for Management and other audience as relevant, compile reports/newsletters and other publications from time to time.
Maintain and appropriately regulate the content of the digital strategy library.
Construct peer group intelligence analyses, models and insights, strategic studies, benchmarks/ insights periodically. Identify appropriate sources for information and refresh the contents periodically.
Support preparation of the comprehensive PS Strategy Updates.
Support preparation of presentations related to strategy, planning and competitor intelligence as required.
Produce slide packs, scenario papers and material for engagement and communication with Management and the Department.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Engineering. An MBA is preferred.
You should have a minimum of 7 years' experience.
Energy value chain, O&G, power and gas experience is preferred.
Experience in modelling (financial/business operation) is essential.

Operations Superintendent - Offshore

An Oil & Gas Operator in the UAE are currently recruiting for an Offshore Operations Superintendent to join their production team. Must have previous experience in this position.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Production or Chemical Engineering would be preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years in an oil & gas field production environment, with 5 year supervisory / management experience, with Management of Major Emergencies &/or OPITO OIM Certification.
  • A thorough understanding of the Operations Safety Case, statutory requirements and safe systems of work including the PTW, isolation procedures, and risk assessment policies & standards.
  • Sound knowledge of offshore operations including working knowledge of drilling, sub-sea and construction activities.
  • Other Competencies / Skills / Others
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills are an essential for this role - Effective Communication and Leadership.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications software such as Microsoft Office; Oracle CMMS system; CMO; ORA, Anomaly & LiveLink Business Information System.

Senior QSHE Engineer

Petroplan are looking to hire a Senior QHSE Engineer to work for a major Oil and Gas client of ours in Dubai.

This is a permanent staff residential role in country which comes with an excellent family package.

Th client is building a new manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai and they require this engineer to come in and set up ISO systems, deal with local authorities in permits etc.

Recent UAE experience is a must.

You will be responsible for creating and sustaining a productive work culture and safe work environment to avoid and minimize QHSE related risks: prevention of human injury, safe operations and working conditions/practices, and major quality failures.

This position provides process safety support across Middle East Region with exposure to Global Operations and with focus to the Company Manufacturing.

You will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised institute or university, preferably in Engineering.

* Degree / Certification in Occupational HSE/Process Safety/ Risk Management from an accredited university/institution.
