Electrical Engineer (EV Projects)

Contract (minimum 12 months - inside IR35)

Surrey/London (May be flexible for the right candidate)

Key accountabilities:

  • Focusing primarily on activity in the Netherlands, this role will develop to support other European countries in time.
  • Play a key role in delivering the EV charge points in Europe, particularly the Netherlands
  • Support the Global Engineering Development manager and the Engineering Team Leader(s) in creating a standard design model that can be deployed and quality detailed design products for the installation of the chosen solutions.
  • Support all teams during site appraisal, network planning, procurement, installation, construction and commissioning/go-live.
  • Support the risk management process across each region.
  • Support our roll out with engineering performance management and technical reporting of near-term progress against long term targets.
  • Support key engineering management process to maintain the roll out in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with regional deployment teams and ensure they are successful with delivering their regional targets.
  • Support the identification of key EVSE technology solutions, for the optimum delivery of projects in accordance with company Ethics & Compliance rules.
  • Anticipate on future standards and technology to optimize time and materials substance of any projects.
  • Support the continuous improvement of technical practices and processes.
  • Contribute to the success of any project and support the Project Managers to help them deliver the project on time and within budget.
  • Alert the project managers and the and Global Engineering Development manager on any identified risks within his / her responsibility.
  • Capture Lessons Learned through engineering and installation delivery and ensure Continuous Improvement throughout our EV deployments.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deep technical expertise in electrical engineering applications including protection relay coordination, transformer applications, low and high voltage switchgear design, and associated equipment design, commissioning and operation.
  • A strong track record in project delivery or in supporting complex project management involving hardware solutions in EV infrastructure.
  • An understanding of the standards and protocols of the industry.
  • An understanding of Electrical Network provider access constraints and low or high voltage connections.
  • A deep appreciation of health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) requirements
  • Liaising with project managers and engineers regarding engineering issues related to projects or other.
  • Preparing and presenting information for internal meetings, when required.
  • Liaising with external contractors in a timely manner responding to requests and queries.
  • Maintaining quality feedback loops to continuously improve product accuracy, quality, and communication on all levels to ensure complete information loops from the shop floor to management.

Job Holder Requirements

  • Technical and engineering roll out in the EV field.
  • An understanding of Microgrid and Smart Grid concept and general design.
  • Project Management of similar power and hardware projects.
  • 5-10 years' experience in large scale engineering projects.
  • Broad professional experience in engineering and project management delivery.
  • Sound knowledge of EV charging technology and thorough understanding of the operation and structures of charging networks and how they are integrated.
  • Direct experience of industry standards pertaining to EV charging requirements.
  • Familiar with Agile Project management.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent (working towards with imminent application would be considered)
  • Fluent in other European languages.
  • Ability to analyse data to recognise trends and implement development plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain compelling relationships.
  • Proven ability to interact with multiple functions within an organisation to delivery goals, and more broadly, with the functions in the group that are working in the space of project delivery, asset management and procurement.
  • Proven track record of performing in high-intensity environments, operating within tight financial resources and meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Positive personality, with energetic leadership style and strong resilience.
  • A good balance of structured/holistic thinking with fast moving and pragmatic execution.

  • Provide Quality Engineering support to the project operating country or regional cluster assigned. In-particular provide:

Key Criteria

  • Ideally a chartered Quality professional or similar professional body demonstrating professional field of knowledge and experience.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The GPC (Global Project Centre) Co-ordinator reports to the GPC Administration Manager, supporting all GPC&AP (Asia Pacific) London business units. Coordinators assigned to a project will also report to their assigned Project Manager and team.
As assistants, Coordinators are responsible for a variable and diverse range of tasks and are required to have skills at the appropriate level to match. Coordinators ensure that team members are fully inducted into their functions/project, organise equipment and access to systems and any training required. Day to day, Coordinators execute general administration, SP/IT/PO, travel, secretarial and PA tasks.

GPC AP Coordinator

  • Coordinators are assigned to the GPC Admin pool, picking up tasks from the GPC Admin mailbox as and when required:
  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Directors of the GPC Management team, Project Managers. Project Engineering Manager and their Teams, Clients and Sub-contractors
  • Organise and set up of new starters and leavers
  • Dealing with day to day requirements during the absence of the managers including email and calendar management. Assistance with phone calls when required.

As such we are recruiting for a Subsea System Engineer who will support tie-back projects as assigned by the Subsea Systems DL and the project Engineering Manager in the region. The key responsibility is to support with the delivery of the subsea system's engineering scopes throughout the different project development phases (concept development through execute) and handover to operations.
The role will be based in England reporting will be to the Engineering Team Lead as such candidates are required to have right to work in the UK.

Core Competencies/Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Communication) or equivalent.
  • Candidate must ensure the integration of the subsea scopes across the EPCI, SPS, UEC and other contractors and support the procurement of various subsea packages.
  • Candidate must be competent with Central Subsea team and other functions like (Wells, Operations) to ensure equipment delivered meets the project functional requirements.
  • Candidate must support the ETL in co-ordinating self-verification and engineering assurance activities (e.g. HAZID/ISD, HAZOP/LOPA, Design Reviews, MDEs, PHSSERs, SUARs), in line with the Engineering verification Plan to ensure Safe Design and Quality Build.

Petroplan are looking for a Risk Engineer who comes from a Project background to work within the HSE department for a major Oil client of ours.

This is a years contract based role in Surrey, remote working is considered.

It will be based on a PAYE rate.

Key Accountabilities:

Support major projects by taking a leadership role in process safety to ensure that process safety concerns relating to the full life cycle of the project have been identified, understood, and managed

Develop and maintain the Projects Design Hazard Management Plan

Support the design teams by determining appropriate hazard and risk management studies required, defining study requirements and scope, providing oversight of the studies, and working with the teams to integrate the study results into the facility design

Facilitate minor HAZID and HAZOP studies

Offering an excellent PAYE hourly rate, this is not a full time role.

  • Experience chairing HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID meetings for Oil & Gas and other energy projects
  • Also SIMOPS, SIL. A scribe will normally be provided, but willing to scribe if required.
  • As required - multiple meetings expected in next 12 months - role will not be full time

On behalf of A major oil operator Petroplan are looking for an Accountant to be based in London, the role will be on a annual renewable contractual basis and offering a competitive rate.

Job Overview

Reviews and interprets financial results in with business managers. Drafts insightful accounting analysis. Maintains a basic understanding of financial systems and data elements

Responsibilities;

  • Researches financial anomalies and makes corrections as necessary.
  • Works on special projects as assigned.
  • Generates reconciliations and accounts analyses.
  • Participates in the monthly financial statement closes.
  • Validates accounting assumptions with Accounting Manager and/or business managers.
  • Aware of and monitors compliance of processes, transactions and balances with accounting / finance policies.
  • Assists in implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Aware of internal control concepts, evaluates controls to ensure they are operating effectively and makes recommendations to improve controls.
  • Treasury finance maintain and reconcile the TMS accounting ledgers in respect of transactions associated with the treasury activity outlined above. This involves full finance span activities across transactional postings, MI reporting and control assurance.
  • Project activity within the finance area, treasury management system replacement and associated general ledger
  • Support other team members as needed including testing for a system replacement project.
  • Interact with external auditors each quarter to explain the results and decisions made regarding accounting treatment.
  • Maintain internal financial control documentation in accordance with control processes and policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with experience in Treasury
  • Strong practical experience within wider Treasury environment, forex, financial instruments
  • Prior project experience with Treasury Management Systems (Quantum preferred) and / or accounting general ledger systems
  • Strong Financial Accountant with experience of applying financial accounting as required by IFRS.
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills, proven team player
  • Able to manage multiple/conflicting priorities with a track record of delivery.
  • Track record of applying rigour and due diligence to complex data reconciliation processes within a wide variety of transactions activity types
  • Affinity for working with financial systems, including data management, issue resolution, and change management
  • Able to interpret and communicate financial information with clarity, to both internal management and the external auditors.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work flexibly
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight timescales
  • Chartered Accountancy qualification preferred
  • System implementation project experience - Quantum preferred
  • Good understanding of Treasury control processes and systems
  • (SAP BW) experience beneficial
