Outline:
The purpose of this role is to provide subject matter expertise in Naval Architecture, Structures and Coatings to Trading & Shipping teams and other areas of the company as applicable.
The key focus areas are to ensure that the operated fleet is structurally maintained according to Class and trading & shipping standards, and provide Structural Assurance to the Vetting & Clearance teams through structural reviews and inspections of the non-operated fleet.
The role will include planning and conducting structural and coating inspections on the fleet; completing structural reviews and inspections of third party vessels; supporting the update of T&S procedures, databases and standards; and carrying out miscellaneous technical support for any other naval architecture requests from T&S or the wider company.

Job Purpose / Requirements:

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
Financial accounting and reporting
* Responsible for the monthly Financial consolidation and reporting for all AGS entities including ensuring adherence to current Company guidelines and policies as well as recommended accounting practice in conjunction with the Group Financial Reporting Team.
* Review of trial balances and key account reconciliations prepared by the Accenture team & ensure that queries are resolved.
* Review & approve monthly bank account reconciliations prepared by the Accenture Team.
* Lead team to achieve KPIs for timely, accurate month end close
* Lead the Accenture Team in managing balance sheet open items & ensure that all queries are resolved promptly.
* Maintain appropriately control environment, specifically review, approve and post journals prepared by the Accenture Team.
* Ensure key control and process documentation is kept up to date
* Provide accounting guidance and expertise to the team as appropriate.
Statutory accounts
* Accountable for the co-ordination and preparation of the statutory accounts for all AGS entities in liaising with the Group Financial Reporting team as to status and accounting guidance.
Audits
* Lead interaction with external auditors to ensure efficient resolution of issues; completion of hard close reviews and annual Group audit.
General
* Pro-actively engage in group wide Corporate Projects not business as usual
* Ad hoc duties as required.
Education:
ACA Chartered Accountant
Skills:
* Excellent financial accountant with proven track record with strong technical accounting skills
* Strong analytical skills.
* Extensive knowledge of IFRS
* Experience in Oil & Gas industry or Big 4 desirable but not essential
* Experience of SAP/ERP systems and Controller/consolidation system preferable
* Strong MS Office skills

As such we are recruiting for a Marine Specialist who will be providing PMC oversight and guidance service to ADNOC for the FEED of a greenfield LNG production facility in the Middle East. The key responsibility is to is to interface with ADNOC management and SMEs, interface with FEED contractor(s), provide direction and expert knowledge.

Essential Criteria
Degree qualified in Engineering
Significant experience in engineering project development construction project management or drilling subsurface sciences
Experience of developing or managing major projects in the oil and gas energy sector
Experience in project design construction and operation Proven abilty to lead projects whilst prioritising and managing a workload to meet defined deadines
Strong understanding of HSSE polices including integrity management and major hazards assessment
Experience of conducting technoeconomic project appraisals
Experience of technical due diligence or technical risk assessment Experience of managing third party vendors and consultants
