Job Description

Our Client an Oil and Gas Operating Company need a Agile Coach / Data/Software Engineer. The role can be based in their offices in Sunbury or have the option to be UK based or can work UK hours and be fully remote. The position is offered with an initial 6 month contract inside IR35 and a negotiable daily rate.

Job Overview

As Agile coach you'll support multiple teams through an Agile transition including standing-up new teams, supporting existing teams, and performing Agile Adoption assessments.

Responsibilities;

  • You'll be working as part of the data science skills accelerator. This data science skills accelerator is a learning and development programme where employees have the opportunity to participate hands-on in real-world data science projects to upskill / reskill and potentially transition into a data science role over time
  • Coach and mentor team members with foundational data and analytics competencies, both on technical and leadership skills (e.g. stakeholder management, story telling with data)
  • Match skills accelerator programme members with real-world data science and analytics projects based on their interest and project availability
  • Identify areas for programme improvement and collaborate with the future skills and learning team and the data & analytics centre of excellence on new and improved skills accelerator offerings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally have a STEM Degree and relevant experience as Agile Coach / Data/Software Engineer
  • Deep technical, recent hands-on expertise in data analytics and data science (including e.g. machine learning, deep learning, statistics, data wrangling and feature engineering, processing large data sets, cloud environments, programming, software engineering best practices).

Marine Specialist

Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for a Marine Specialist to join their offices in Surrey on a long-term contract. The client is a major consultancy within the energy market. As Marine Specialist, you will support the Civil and Marine manager.

As such we are recruiting for a Marine Specialist who will be providing PMC oversight and guidance service to ADNOC for the FEED of a greenfield LNG production facility in the Middle East. The key responsibility is to is to interface with ADNOC management and SMEs, interface with FEED contractor(s), provide direction and expert knowledge.

The role will be based in England reporting to the Marine Manager as such candidates are required to have right to work in the UK.

Rate: D.O.E

Core Competencies/Requirements:

  • Minimum BSc Civil Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Middle East (preferred)
  • 5 years' experience in a similar position on international Oil and Gas or Petrochemical projects and engineering teams on similar projects Experience of working on prior ADNOC projects would be an advantage.

Strong understanding of HSSE polices including integrity management and major hazards assessment
Experience of conducting technoeconomic project appraisals

Job Description

  • Provide Quality Engineering support to the project operating country or regional cluster assigned. In-particular provide:
  • Standardisation - through the deployment and governance (self-verification) of global Quality standards throughout the value-chain in-country and / or regional cluster assigned.
  • Management System - deployment of global Quality management system and creation of in-country and / or regional cluster procedures to support such including governance (self-verification) and where required coordination of external audit body accreditation (i.e., ISO9001).
  • Performance - Cascade and measure / report defined Quality KPI's at in-country and / or in cluster level including participation in related performance reviews; Ensure capture and robust resolution of Non-conformances; Conduct on-site project construction / commissioning Quality assurance oversight.
  • Organisation & Capabilities - Develop in-country and / or cluster Quality capability at personal and team levels as appropriate to enhance 'Quality culture'.

Key Criteria

  • Ideally university degree qualified or otherwise qualified to an appropriate higher level of education in a related engineering discipline - extensive experience in a Quality Engineering role with lesser formal qualification would be considered where directly relevant.
  • Ideally a chartered Quality professional or similar professional body demonstrating professional field of knowledge and experience.
  • Essential that the individual has held the position and gained experience as a Quality professional (ideally Quality Engineer or above) within a similar industrial customer focused environment i.e. Construction & Commissioning, Electrical, Software, Supply chain (Automotive or similar also considered). English & host country language skills essential (spoken and written communication).
  • Knowledge of Project Quality assurance; root cause analysis (problem solving); ISO9001 Quality Management System creation and maintenance (auditing); Supply chain Quality all highly desired and beneficial.
  • Customer focused and agile in mind-set. Able to self-manage within a fast-moving environment and decide own priorities with minimal supervision. Always seeking to drive improvement and value to the business through strong teamwork and collaboration.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working with the Electric Vehicle charging segment would be highly desirable - otherwise similar customer facing, volume manufacturing, high reliability environments also beneficial.
  • Communication / Presentation skills and experience - able to communicate competently throughout levels of the organisation (written and verbal).
  • Having worked within a global matrix organisation.
  • Experience of working within a large installed footprint, field service environment.
  • Experience of setting up new Quality systems within a growth environment.

  • Monitors health of all static/rotating mechanical equipment and associated operating envelopes, recording and investigating all SDL/SOL excursions.
  • Monitors KPIs for static/rotating equipment, and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provides Mechanical Engineering support to technical MoCs and Engineering Queries (EQ).
  • May initiate Engineering Queries and provide feedback on EQ verification/prioritisation to site).
  • Supports delivery of the Production Efficiency Improvement and Defect Elimination process
  • Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and grow production.

Qualifications
