Petroplan is hiring for a Business Development Manager in Argentina for a Major Oil and Gas Company
Job Description:
The Business Development Manager should possess a broad level of industry and business knowledge in order to provide information that can be utilized to build the Division's goals and strategy; to accomplish this, the Business Development Manager must know their customer base to determine clients' needs and must be able to build relationships at multiple levels within client organizations. The Business Development Manager must be able to communicate customer expectations effectively to key representatives of the Division including the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Director of Technology, and the Division VP. Strong negotiation skills, a long-term strategic focus and conflict resolution skills are essential skills for someone in this role. The BDM should exemplify SCS' Core Values. This position is assigned high profile, deep water accounts.

Duties:

  • Develop and present strategies or blueprint to guide Director of Sales and Marketing for developing the Division's long-term planning purposes
  • Position this Division to be able to participate in formal tenders and RFQs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as marketing, sales, and engineering, and external partners and allies in the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and business models.
  • Research and seek out prospective projects through networking and calling on accounts
  • Provide support to upper management in negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and alliance development projects.
  • Provide input to the management team on new products or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.
  • Research emerging technologies and trends.
  • Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university plus a minimum of 8-10 years related experience in the oil and gas industry.
