Location: Houston, Gulf of Mexico operations

Petroplan is currently working with a private equity backed E&P business who are in the process of increasing their Gulf of Mexico footprint. Due to this continued expansion, a need has arisen within the business to add a Spanish speaking Completion Engineer to their Gulf of Mexico operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Subsurface Engineering Manager and act as the focal point for all completion activity. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Establish and promote safety and environmental performance expectations with employees and contractors in accordance with the Company's safety policies and Safe Sound initiative.
  • Work with reservoir engineers, petrophysicist and geoscientists to optimize completion intervals and plans for future well work
  • Ensure proper set up and early monitoring of flow control and other sensory equipment is completed
  • Travel to the field is required as and when needed
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

Experienced Required:

  • Fluent Spanish speaking
  • At least 10 years of Completion Engineering experience
  • Production containing H2S & CO2 (gas lift & ESP)
  • Offshore experience (Gulf of Mexico preferred)
