Applications Analyst
Permanent Role
Houston, Texas or Midland, Texas
Responsibilities include:
· Managing a variety of IT applications for E&P upstream operations including user support, application administration, data analysis, integration design, and custom reports development
· Collaborating closely with other IT experts and business subject-matter experts (SMEs) to identify and manage the demand for new solutions and enhancements to existing solutions
· Managing delivery projects to implement new solutions and application upgrade roll-outs
· Providing testing and coordination of scheduled application maintenance, releases, and major version upgrades
· Communicating with operational business user groups to gather and prioritize their business requirements and translate into the technical design for development, reporting and integration solutions aligned with Concho IT policies and standards
· Contributing to the planning, solution design, development, testing and rollout for E&P operational applications (in collaboration with external vendors, business and other IT teams)
Education / Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, management information systems or engineering required
· A minimum of 2 years of IT application analyst experience
· Experience with P2 Land (TOBIN), Enertia, AFEMS or similar AFE workflow system preferred
· Experience with software platforms supporting the oil & gas industry preferred

Skills / Attributes Desired:
· Demonstrated experience in using and managing Peloton WellView application
· Demonstrated experience supporting Landmark Drilling applications (Compass, DecisionSpace Well Engineering, Directional Advanced package, etc.), Rod Design and Simulation tools
· Demonstrated working knowledge of related IT technical domains including SQL Server 2012, SSRS, SSIS and Microsoft Office products
· Ability to manage work priorities and project deliverables for implementation, enhancements, problem resolution and upgrades working with many involved parties (business users, IT, software vendors, outsourcing partners etc.)
· Ability to work as a team player with the willingness to handle assigned tasks, whether simple or complex
· Ability to work in a fast-paced organization and multi-task
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
