The Cloud Architecture Regional Manager is an innovative person who can envision, demonstrate and evangelize how a wide range of emerging information technologies can be used to improve operations and maintenance in process manufacturing. The position is located in our Sugar Land (Houston) office and will be responsible for building and leading a team in Cloud based architecture for IIoT Foundation. The ideal candidate can prioritize and put it into and update development roadmap, with considering common features required by various services. As well as lead a series of development projects from requirement definition through design and operation.
The Cloud Architecture Regional Manager must have a strong programming and software development background and be able to lead development teams to produce proof of concepts that demonstrate how new technologies should be used, and to launch commercial services to the public. In addition, the Cloud Architecture Regional Manager must be able to effectively and professionally realize concepts into real services, solutions and software.
The Cloud Architecture Regional Manager reports to the Sr. Manager, Technology Unit Development in Japan. This person will collaborate with team members in the organization and other engineering teams
This is a global role that requires travel to Japan, Singapore, India and Europe. The person must be culturally flexible and able to effectively co-work and collaborate with people in each of these cultures to drive development.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil & Gas and automation industries and/or Information Technology.
Cloud Architecture Regional Manager
Drive IIoT Foundation development and contribute to new business model, meet business requirements, maximize customer value
Plan, design and program IIoT Foundation which includes Cloud services, Fog computing, Co-innovation environment, cellular network access for the sensors, security services, deep learning services and management tools/process for all business units.
Interface, communicate, discuss, find the mutual fit and co-innovate with technology partners for those non-core areas.
Effectively and efficiently transfer knowledge to, and guide, other development centers to allow them to make use of the IIoT platform and the results of proof of concept projects.
Collaborate with other engineers to leverage each other's knowledge and experiences.
Keep abreast of industry trends, requirements, and competitive solutions.
Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated areas of responsibility. Has the authority to stop those work processes at any time it is believed quality is being compromised.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Physics with strong emphasis in computer science or equivalent is required. Multiple or advanced degrees a plus.
Position requires 25-50% travel
