Position: HSE Advisor

Job type: Contract in Office

Location: Houston

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional HSE Advisor for their deepwater Gulf of Mexico operations.

In this position, you will act as support for Gulf of Mexico production operations on all matters related to safety. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Serving as the primary contact for the operator for HSE and provide general HSE support and coordination to the OIM and Safety Department Representative (SDR).
  • Involvement in accident investigation
  • Being heavily involved in actively reviewing all HSE documentation around personal and process safety

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of Oil and Gas industry experience, including 6 years' of recent experience working on Gulf of Mexico projects would be preferred. Someone with previous experience travelling offshore will also be preferred as this role may have the occasional trip to production facilities.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

Petroplan is looking for a Manufacturing Assembler for a client located in the Humble area. This will be a contract opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and disassembles oilfield equipment for shipment as per engineering specifications.
  • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files, scrapers, grinders to produce close fit between parts.
  • In addition to assembly of unit, must be capable of perform filing, fitting or hydrotesting to complete the unit for shipment.
  • Records instrument readings as required for test procedures or customer requirements.
  • Disassembles various equipment for salvage of parts.
  • Reports any material discrepancies or material defects per procedure.
  • Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts and other equipment as needed.
  • Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel as it relates to the job.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate more than one type of CNC Machine.
  • Monitor controls and make necessary adjustments to achieve product specs and change cutting tools.
  • Read dimensions and tooling instructions from work orders and blueprints.
  • Verify conformance of machined parts to product specs.
  • Load and unload material and align material to specs.
  • Plan and perform machine operations which require complicated set ups, troubleshooting with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Give work instructions and assist shop supervisor in workflow scheduling.
  • Train shop personnel on all processes and procedures including those that required certifications.
  • Responsible for inventory control and departmental spending and makes recommendations in process improvement for cost savings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

PROCUREMENT ANALYST

As a Procurement Analyst, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and fast paced environment, located in Houston, TX. The objective of the position is to work across multiple Business Units to drive down overall costs for all goods and services for an Oil & Gas company. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with assigned Business Units across multiple goods and service categories (Rentals, Construction, Labor, Engineering, etc.) implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and drive down cost
  • Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of procurement data, including but not limited to quotations, purchase orders, goods receipts, and sourcing catalogs
  • Provide P2P support across business
  • Partner with various Business Unit leaders to understand priorities and limitations and create support plans
  • Be the point of contact for vendor issues and ensure the highest level of service
  • Monitor shipments and order milestones to guarantee on time delivery and settle problems associated with missed milestones and undelivered goods
  • Analyze and communicate to financial performance to project teams and senior management
  • Accurately report all project milestones to Business Units and management
  • Evaluate project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls and processes are aligned to address specific project needs
  • Understanding of contractual language to ensure contracts follow all applicable policies, procedures, and company standards
  • Work with Operations and Finance to develop, streamline and implement financial reporting for major capital projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of related experience, preferably within oil & gas for an operating company, having sourced both goods and services for major capital projects
  • Extremely systems savvy with the ability to generate useable data from systems (Coupa, Power Bi, etc.)
  • Strong preference for exposure to multi platform support with experience in budget management and P2P systems
  • Strong communication skills within all levels of the organization . Preparing management presentations is an important part of the role

Petroplan is actively recruiting for an Owner Relations and Division Order Analyst to work on a long term contract basis on behalf of a Houston based Oil & Gas company.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently with good decision making skills while gathering and analyzing complex data from a wide range of sources. The source of data includes but is not limited to leases, contracts, division orders, title opinions, curative and other such related documents.

The role requires someone familiar with the upstream energy business who regularly acquires knowledge of industry practices, trends, regulations, laws, rulings as they pertain to our core business activities. This position requires someone with exposure to all facets of ownership including various interaction levels with internal and external business partners.

This person in this role must possess strong analytical skills, computer skills and general knowledge about the use of core computer applications along with related applications that support our business effort. This position requires a person who can easily and professionally interact with the upstream organization using good interpersonal skills, while being aligned to company goals and objectives, and embracing company values.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Analyzing and validating ownership, conveyance documents, property and production information related to our core business processes. This includes review of all leases and related contracts captured in Quorum Land System and how to obtain and apply that information.
  • Perform revision and maintenance of all division order information in SAP/PRA which includes understanding and manipulating unit tracts, bearer groups, and all other related system required data in SAP/PRA.
  • Contributing to the revision and maintenance of all Joint Interest Billing information, including the understanding and managing of carried interests.
  • Support and collaboration with our Finance colleagues by making ownership information available to allow for accurate and timely processing of production volumes, production revenue, and joint interest billing.
  • Analyzing various legal descriptions related to spacing and unit map information and apply that information to our core business processes.
  • Responding to phone calls, emails and correspondence from mineral owners and working interest partners regarding title issues, inquiries and account questions.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with both internal and external business partners as well as property owners to obtain needed information and/or documents or to convey information.
  • Adhere to internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed, imaged and indexed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.
  • Alignment with company needs to promote workflow visibility and measure business quality and delivery activities to continuously improve our business processes.
  • Conduct all business activities according to company policies including business ethics, application of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, and all system/process security restrictions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of oil and gas experience preferably in division order.
  • Experience with PRA/SAP, and Quorum Land Systems preferred but not required.


Education, Training & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferable or commensurate experience. Certifications or degrees in the following are also a plus: Law, Petroleum Land Management, Lease and Title Analyst, Division Order Analyst.
