Facilities Project Manager - Gulf of Mexico Developments

The Facilities Project Manager will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Facilities Engineering in the Gulf of Mexico Developments organization.

Provide Project Management support for Gulf of Mexico Facilities Developments. Lead multi-discipline project team to deliver ILX tieback projects from pre-development to handover to operations and startup. Support standard hub concept development ahead of potential Discovery.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Provide Project Management support for Gulf of Mexico Development projects
  • Lead multi-discipline project teams to deliver ILX tieback projects from pre-development to Operations handover and startup
  • Support standard hub concept development work scopes
  • Manage project scope, schedule and budget according to strategic business objectives
  • Lead development of Project Management documentation and deliverables
  • Manage 3rd Party Contractors that support the project development
  • Coordination of interfaces between Topsides, Marine, Subsea, Operations, Regulatory, and Drilling and Completions
  • Adherence to the Management of Change process
  • Support development of facilities standards
  • Ensure comprehensive value capture approach through opportunities/risk analysis
  • Support the integration of key innovation, technology, and ESG facets in developments
  • Leverage relationships with contractors, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to enable strong project delivery


  • 15 years of relevant offshore project management and facilities engineering experience in oil and gas
  • Offshore project delivery experience from front end design through offshore HUC
  • Major brownfield modification engineering and project management experience
  • Interface management including Topsides, SURF, Operations, Regulatory, Production Engineering, and Drilling and Completions Teams
  • Understanding of offshore regulatory requirements in the Gulf of Mexico as they relate to facility modifications and project delivery
  • Comprehensive understanding of project risk management and mitigations to execute offshore oil and gas projects
  • Understands Project Controls and Information Management requirements to support cost, schedule, management of change, and document management processes from Pre-development to operations

Education, Training & Certifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineering License preferred
