Petroplan is looking for a Principal Production Engineer with expertise in Integrated Production System Modeling to join an LNG Company with offices in Houston and Arlington.

In this role, you will report to the VP of Integrated Production Excellence and be responsible for establishing and implementing the Integrated Production System Modeling (IPSM) Strategy for the company, spanning all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the IPSM Strategy across all sites, including the selection of appropriate modeling platforms for real-time production optimization, surveillance, and forecasting, encompassing both steady state and transient modeling.
  • Construct Integrated Production System Models that optimize LNG rundown in the short, medium, and long terms.
  • Calibrate and sustain Integrated Production System Models, collaborating with Operations Engineering, the Production Chemistry team, and IT to ensure the models' reliability and stability.
  • Collaborate with Operations Engineering to establish Live Operating Envelope Limits for all operational sites.
  • Interface with Operations, Corporate Engineering, and Operations Engineering to offer insights into Production Performance and to identify avenues for enhancing LNG rundown.
  • Contribute to the setup of an Integrated Collaborative Environment, seamlessly integrating all IPSM models into the company's surveillance and optimization platforms, including but not limited to PI.
  • Mentor and nurture Process and Production Engineers, guiding them in the safe optimization of LNG rundown.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in Production Engineering, showcasing a proven record of enhancing production performance.
  • Minimum of 10 years' expertise in Integrated Production System Modeling using software like UniSim, Hysys, Petex, or PI.
  • Valuable experience in leveraging Data-Driven Models involving Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and Advanced Analytics.
  • Oil and Gas background is obligatory, with a marked inclination toward LNG; nevertheless, experience in petrochemicals, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing realms may also be considered.
