Provide overall direction, strategy, and implementation for growth of North American energy services and inspection business. This senior-level executive is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to secure contracts with new clients, as well as support the growth of services within existing client accounts in commercial Oil & Gas, Energy, and Renewable sectors. Initial focus of the role will be on the Houston, Texas-area, with eventual expansion across North America. This manager must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with company leadership and local/regional technical staff. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical and strategic leadership to the North America team, managing and working in collaboration with the local Operations Manager.
  • Overall accountability for all aspects of the North American commercial sales strategy.
  • Work with leadership to develop a 3-to-5-year commercial sales plan, including strategies for expansion, penetration of new markets/territories, KPIs, etc.
  • Implement strategic and tactical business development objectives, emphasizing acquisition of new commercial contracts.
  • Provide tactical execution of strategy through business development techniques, including:
    • Research new target businesses, develop prospecting lists, screen prospective opportunities, and identify qualified leads.
    • Secure, attend, and engage in key customer meetings with prospects, new customers, and existing clients.
    • Ensure prospects are managed through the sales lifecycle/pipeline from lead development through to completion of contract.
    • Support and collaborate with commercial operations team to grow and develop existing accounts.
  • In line with defined strategy, manage key accounts at the senior level.
  • Accurately assess regional market trends, market share, and competitive landscape to improve sales performance.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & COMPETENCIES

  • At least 10 years combined experience in technical sales within the energy services industry and relevant in the inspection services
  • Strong working knowledge of services and products related energy services, inspection, NDT/NDE, etc. for fixed, rotating, and electrical equipment in the energy/renewable spaces.
  • Experience and/or a network in the renewable energy space is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field, or experience equivalent to education.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, senior-level customer relationships.
  • Strong solutions selling, consultation, collaboration, and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication, presentation skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong results-driven attitude and commitment to lead and make things happen.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple concurrent tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Business acumen and hunting mindset with a dynamic, pragmatic, and high selling approach.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with changing priorities and schedules.
