Petroplan is actively recruiting a Senior Analyst of Finance & Strategy for a Houston-based LNG client. This position will play a vital role within our dynamic team, providing essential financial information and analysis to support the Financial, Commercial, and Strategy groups in the development of our LNG and project. Our client is seeking a candidate who can work collaboratively, think independently, and possesses strong analytical and modeling skills. The ideal candidate should thrive in a flexible and dynamic work environment and excel at solving complex problems through data-driven analysis with meticulous attention to detail.

Education:

  • A 4-year degree in finance, economics, computational science, mathematics, engineering, or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Excel models to bolster the clients financial and commercial modeling infrastructure, supporting the ongoing growth of our projects.
  • Analyze key business decisions and strategic matters, including plant operations, commodity markets, term contracts, and transaction pricing.
  • Independently generate advanced ad-hoc analyses, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Effectively communicate analysis results in a coherent and concise manner.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance, Banking, Consulting, Corporate Development, or Economic Planning, particularly within the Energy sector.
  • Strong background in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience in the LNG industry is highly preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel modeling, with the ability to create, execute, and analyze statistical and financial data.
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

***This position is required to be in office 5 days of the week and will require overtime hours when needed.
