About:

Petroplan is seeking a Vice President of IT for Integrated Project Development & Systems Architecture to assume a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the architectural aspects, planning, and execution of IT infrastructure projects on behalf of our client.

This dynamic leader will provide direction and technical expertise within a collaborative team environment, partnering with project development teams and suppliers to advance the clients mission of delivering cost-effective LNG solutions globally.

Role Focus:

This role is primarily responsible for steering the scope, schedule, and budget management across the entire spectrum of Technology Systems Integration, from planning and design to construction, implementation, and commissioning of LNG initiatives.

The Vice President will take charge of the entire portfolio, from the inception of IT Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to the handover of operational systems to the Technology and Infrastructure Services Organization for ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically oversee critical project matters, proactively identify potential schedule impacts, and adeptly manage risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Lead and direct the management of projects within the portfolio, from consultant/contractor negotiations to the design, construction, and implementation phases.
  • Offer recommendations on Design and Delivery Methods for the assigned portfolio, addressing complex technical, logistical, and administrative challenges tied to design and post-maintenance.
  • Develop a checklist of deliverables at the end of each project phase (concept, schematic, design development, and implementation documents) for internal personnel, facilitating smooth project handoffs between phases.
  • Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with the defined scope, schedule, and budget, while also playing a pivotal role in budgeting based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT PMO in Value Management initiatives to optimize project costs and ensure that project budget adjustments align with the broader IT budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of energy industry infrastructure design principles, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) management, and a deep understanding of the technological aspects of plant-side development and construction.
  • Proficiency in energy industry compliance requirements for technology delivery, along with familiarity with project information exchange protocols.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage fiduciary responsibilities for all facets of design, construction, and budget management in the context of large-scale projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret project engineering materials, 3D models, schedules, budgets, and technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proven track record of collaborative work with key stakeholders.
