Business Development Manager

Petroplan is hiring for a Business Development Manager in the Houston, TX area.
Our client supplies valves to energy clients/projects globally. The customers include major end-users, engineering companies and process package manufacturers. They understand project specifications, how projects change, and the need to deliver on time. Their products, and partner factories, satisfy complex end-user specifications, such as: Maersk and Shell, and are manufactured in compliance with relevant standards from quality raw material sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Develop and implement a sales plan with defined objectives, prepare strategies, budgets, forecast and action plans.
*Report sales activity through regular sales reports submitted to manager on a timely basis.
*Lead sales campaigns for all phases from identifying opportunities to structuring the deal, negotiating, and closing opportunities.
*Partner and coordinate with other other teammates globally regarding projects and sales activities.
*Entertain clients to improve customer relationships, including marketing events *Report on competitor activity to business *Regularly track progress for sales activities/targets and execute the initiatives/actions as established with leadership.
*Plan regular visits to clients in the territory to maintain current business and develop new business.
*Identify and win sales opportunities within assigned area of responsibility *Correctly interpret customers' requirements and offer an appropriate solution from our product range.
*Identify new product ideas based on customer feedback and understanding of market.
*Provide monthly sales forecasting, feedback and planning process to leaders.
*Develop and conduct technical and sales presentations to customers and prospects.
*Manage and coordinate sales efforts with direct accounts and through partnerships.
*Travel to customer sites as needed. Schedule trips, develop itineraries and prioritize calls to ensure maximum efficiency of travel time while controlling travel cost.
*Initiate, engage and follow up with customer contacts and interactions by means of professional written emails, letters, proposals and other business correspondence.
*Other duties as required.

* Some College
* 3-7 years of Business Development Experience

Professional/Technical Training and Skills
*Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
*Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
*Effective at presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
*Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages *Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
*Strong analytical skills
*Resilient, friendly and driven *Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, *Excel and Outlook
