Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead development projects for the hydrogen team. Projects may vary from internal design/manufacturing to industrial scale plant deployments. The role resides in the engineering organization and requires close interaction with the sales, supply chain, quality, manufacturing and service teams to ensure designs meet cross functional requirements. This manager will maintain project schedules and regularly meet with team members to review project status, prioritize activities and plan future actions. This position plays a key role in managing engineering deliverables with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate should exhibit both exceptional communication and project management skills along with a technical background. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple project assignments and willing to learn and adapt within a fast-paced engineering organization.


Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead teams through the product development process including requirements development, technical design, vendor/subcontractor work, manufacturing/assembly, validation, and product release stages
  • Create and maintain multiple complex schedules; setting priorities for internal engineering as well as contracted resources
  • Advise Company management of the program statuses on a regular basis
  • Translate customer deliverables as appropriate to the engineering team
  • Coordinate the efforts of the engineering, sales and production departments to ensure programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of sales orders and budgets
  • Independently anticipate potential schedule delays and initiate plans for alternative actions as needed; able to rearrange competing priorities to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Cross-functionally communicate between departments to ensure all parties involved are informed and up to date on project changes and delays
  • Coordinate prototype testing to qualify new designs
  • Hold cross functional design reviews throughout the development process

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field of study
  • PMP certification strongly preferred

Project Controls Analyst - Hydrogen

Position Summary
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for supporting the team with scheduling, cost control, and actionable reporting for effective delivery of Hydrogen Liquification Plants. This role will focus on creating and maintaining schedules, cost reports and project status reports of Hydrogen Liquification facilities.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development of schedules, identifying relationships, logic, milestones, along with the regular maintenance and periodic updating of the schedules.
  • Support Cost control in bi-weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain and track all AR/AP, invoice tracking.
  • Support Finance and Cost Control with month-end activities as required.
  • Communicates and coordinates between various individuals and departments on each project to pro-actively manage the schedule, update progress and anticipate delays.
  • Reviews and analyzes Notices of Change and Requests for Change for schedule and cost impact.
  • Assists in preparing Schedule and Cost Analysis reports with Explanation of Variances.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to execute other project controls activities such as meeting facilitation, document control and monthly status reporting to the Owner.
  • Works as a team-member to meet project execution goals.



Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a project specialist in the industrial engineering and/or construction industry.
  • Experience in developing project schedules utilizing MS Project or other scheduling tools. Knowledge of Primavera P6 is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of Cost Management.
  • Exemplary communication skills, written, analytical, negotiating, and interpersonal are essential.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for cost reporting
  • Must be capable of independent work in fast paced, schedule driven environments.
  • Knowledge of engineering, supply chain, and construction processes preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple complex project efforts at a time.
  • Sound business sense with the flexibility to modify processes or procedures to achieve goals as information changes and project events unfold.
  • Skilled at building relationships and influencing team members at all levels of the organization, including at the senior levels.
  • Cost/Earned Value experience is a plus.

  • Coordinate development of all technical deliverables during engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning phases of projects. Prepares equipment or work specifications, material requisition, bid evaluations, and award recommendations for static mechanical equipment and piping.
  • Develop technical specifications for all equipment and components related to Hydrogen Liquefaction. This includes pressure vessel, Heat exchangers, BAHEXs, perlite cold box, vacuum cold box and valves.
  • Collaborate with vendors as necessary to develop products specific to client's designs. Ensure the new developments meet all applicable codes and standards.
  • Work with external engineering disciplines to provide instruction, review deliverables and assure timeliness and quality of mechanical engineering deliverables.
  • Actively attend 3rd party inspections and FAT's, as required, to satisfy the Project ITP, and the Company quality initiative.
  • Conducts reviews of vendor drawings, calculations, and other documentation.
  • Site visits may be required.

Position Summary
The Project Controls Analyst, Sr. is part of the Project Management team responsible for executing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning/transition to Operations of green hydrogen plant infrastructure and plays an integral role in ensuring the success of the projects.   • Facilitating schedule and budget workshops to develop/refine detailed project schedules and estimates.
  • Meet with the project team and stakeholders to ensure project schedules and project cost control reports are updated regularly.
  • Implementing Project Controls reporting and invoicing requirements for major engineering and construction subcontracts.

The Principal Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) is the lead engineer accountable for the success of the technical scope of the project and has significant client interaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership to drive and review mechanical technical design.
  • Perform technical studies and prepare reports.
  • Evaluate equipment and systems to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
  • Create and update the standard documentation related to the product design and performances, including user manuals.
  • Develop technical specifications for all equipment and components related to Hydrogen Liquefaction. This includes (but is not limited to) compressors, expanders, cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, refrigeration systems, and valves.
  • Create and update the standard documentation related to the product design and performances, including user manuals.
  • Work with external engineering disciplines to provide instruction, review deliverables and assure timeliness and quality of mechanical engineering deliverables.
  • Interact with committees that establish codes and standards and ensure the technology & engineering team has a full understanding of any updates to applicable codes (NFPA, CGA, etc.).
  • Collaborate with vendors as necessary to develop products. Ensure the new developments meet all applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage all phases of the technical project. Including all Engineering, Design, and technical resources associated with the project; to complete the project within budget and on schedule.
  • Work closely with the process engineering team to clearly define design and project requirements.
  • Review supplier drawings and calculations of equipment, following industry codes, plus companies and clients technical and safety standards.
  • Coordinate development of all technical deliverables during engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning phases of projects. This includes assisting the PMO in the development of the PEP (e.g., deliverables list, schedule input, procurement plan, project specifications, etc.) and the ongoing delegation of engineering deliverables and approvals to the Project Engineers on staff.
  • Develop and manage the Technical Scope of Work, Schedule, and Execution Plan.
  • Provide technical instruction and guidance, for all Engineering and Design resources assigned to the project; to enable them to complete their required deliverables most efficiently.
  • Analyse and interpret client requirements for implementation, including communication to the technical project team.
  • Excel at client interaction and management.
  • Review of all technical deliverables (Engineering & Design) to ensure that they comply with the technical SOW, applicable codes, practices, policies, and performance standards/specifications.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure products and systems conform to company and customer specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with the Project Manager, and other shareholders within the project team, to provide technical support.
  • Recommend design improvements to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
  • Provide technical/functional definition for all procured equipment and services, through the development of RFQ Packages and purchase requisitions.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with 3rd party manufactures, integrators, and fabricators
  • Actively attend 3rd party inspections and FAT's, as required, to satisfy the Project ITP, and the Company quality initiative.
  • Support Project Manager, responsible for the overall project, as required with regular updates on engineering and subcontractor progress and schedule and budget recovery planning.
  • Responsible for the project technical Management of Change.
  • Serve as the backup to the Project Manager should the need arise.
  • Provide on-site startup and commissioning support.
  • Thoroughly understand and execute swim lane responsibilities in the Project Execution Plan Workflow in a timely and accurate manner. Foster collaboration and healthy synergy between all project team members.
  • Exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. This may require they work more than eight hours a day and more than five days or 40 hours per week.


Experience Requirements:

  • 8 years in technical project settings for engineered equipment/projects
  • Minimum of five (5) years Chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas experience
  • Experience specifying rotating equipment in cryogenic services including compressors, expanders, and pumps.
  • Knowledge of safety related design elements in hydrogen or gas processing is desired.
  • Working experience with materials of construction used in cryogenic services.
  • Knowledge of Hydrogen production technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in gas purification such as PSA, TSA, NRU, Cryogenic gas processing or others.
  • Familiar with project management tools (MS Project)


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Master's degree a plus.
