Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for study, design, specification and services related to electrical systems.
  • Assignments usually include one or more of the following: design and development, testing of materials, preparation or checking of design calculations and specifications, studies, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope.
  • Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers
  • Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
  • Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
  • Also may be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project. As the lead, plans, budgets, organizes, coordinates and controls the project.

Job Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer within Petrochemical, LNG, Hydrogen, Ammonia or adjacent industry.

The role of the Production Operations Planner/Coordinator is pivotal in the development, coordination, and upkeep of schedules and progress tracking for the Production Operations Group within the company's process system.
This responsibility is essential to maintain seamless production operations, meet established production schedules, objectives, and targets, and fulfil our product delivery commitments both within internal use and to our external customers.
The Production Operations Planner/Coordinator must demonstrate exceptional proficiency in collaborating across various departments to synchronize efforts and overcome potential obstacles that might disrupt the production timeline.

Fundamental Accountabilities

  • Collects and collates vendor/supplier production schedules into the Master Production

  • Collects vendor/supplier Progress Reports and updates and maintains the Production Progress Reports (S-Curves).
  • Updates and maintains the Master Procurement Plan, the Master Production Plan, and the Inspection Test Point (ITP) Plan.
  • Tracks vendor/supplier deliverables such as the Vendor Document Lists (VDL) to ensurecompliance with contracts and schedules.
  • Supports collaboration and continuity efforts within the Production Operations Team and other company systems.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Incorporate the key milestone dates from Project Controls and the Project Schedules into the Master Production Schedule and Master Procurement Plan; and ensure these key milestone dates are incorporated into the vendor/supplier production schedules.
  • Collect the vendor/supplier production schedules and collate into the Master Production
  • Plan and submit to Project controls for inclusion in the Project Schedules.
  • Update and maintain the Master Production Plan, Master Procurement Plan, ITP schedule, and the Progress Reports with the bi-weekly and monthly inputs from the vendors/suppliers.
  • Maintains metrics/KPI's for team performance and continuous improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules for materials and various assemblies.
  • Work closely with supply chain to ensure materials needed to meet production schedules are on-hand and consistent with quality specifications.
  • Manage the work order process from start to finish to meet the customer required delivery dates in the master schedule and all documentation to match for monthly and quarter closings and yearly audits.
  • Introduce and support process improvement initiatives to Operations and other related business processes which help to drive efficiencies, reduce operating costs, and increase production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • BS degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant field of study and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferred experience in a scheduling capacity for engineered equipment production.
  • Lean, Six Sigma green belt or black belt preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency with ERP systems; SAP experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Office product experience and proficiency - Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power-Bi.
  • Data mining skills with the ability to develop analytics for specific measurements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere.

The Senior Electrical Engineer must provide technical support and guidance to the electrical team during the design, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of the projects. *Professional Engineering license required*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline team for the project.
  • Carry out detailed design, sizing, calculations and verify and check the design done by others.
  • Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project.
  • Review, check and approve of all engineering deliverables produced by the discipline team.

  • Determine the detailed engineering design criteria.
  • Analyze the designs of vendors or subcontractors providing specific equipment.
  • Review the work of others to ensure consistency and integrity of design throughout the project.
  • Perform a lead role in the development of electrical Material Takeoffs (MTOs), and person-hour estimates.
  • Prepare engineering person-hour estimates and provide input into project schedules.
  • Prepare and review electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Develop and evaluate electrical equipment and construction specifications.
  • Perform engineering support for procurement activities including MRQ/MRP development, technical bid evaluation and vendor drawing approvals.
  • Perform engineering development of Construction Work Packages (CWPs), including project description, construction specifications, Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and material lists.
  • Provide engineering support during construction including field engineering, inspection, and special studies.

Key Skills:

  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be proficient in high, medium, and low voltage power distribution design.
  • Successful candidate must be proficient in protective relaying, motor control systems, area classification assessment and reporting, electrical equipment sizing and PLCs applications.
  • Must be experienced in electrical safety regulations and code compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate other engineering disciplines required.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 10 year's oil and gas experience with EPCM background.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas facility projects including some of the following areas: heavy oil facilities, well tie-ins, pipelines, compressor stations, and field gas processing facilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of applications, electrical codes, and standards (i.e. IEEE, API)

  • Build and manage a team of document control specialists

About the Role

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of commercial analysis and insights into the US power and renewables sector through a focus on regulatory policies and structure, potential regulatory changes and their impact on structuring optimal power solutions
  • Accountable for the team's input to the power strategy underpinning the New Energy business, with a focus on driving power solutions in support of hydrogen and ammonia opportunities in the US
  • Contribute to synthesizing and enhancing regulatory analyses from external consultants and other organizations to deliver actionable insights
  • Follow developments before regulatory or government agencies that affect the power solutions activities and report on such developments
  • Monitor and participate in stakeholder processes with appropriate groups (i.e. independent system operators) to provide the team with information about rule changes and other developments that impact potential projects or operations
  • Participate in trade associations to assist in deriving benefits from memberships, such as leveraging access to information and supporting advocacy efforts
  • Review rules affecting implementation of projects being evaluated
  • Monitor and analyze wholesale electricity market design changes, including reviewing protocols, and provide input on suggested improvements

Skills and Experience

  • Must have fundamental understanding of power regulatory processes and stakeholders
  • Technical and/or commercial understanding of retail and wholesale power markets (gas and carbon product market is a plus)
  • Understanding of electricity market operation and pricing mechanisms
  • Experience in modelling related to RTO/ISO market design and rule changes is highly desirable
  • Ability to understand impacts of government electricity policies and/or regulations, effectively communicate the implications and make recommendations on how the business should respond

About You

  • Utility, renewable developer or trading company experience in power transmission, network access and grid integration
  • Significant experience with ISO/RTO/BA market operation, tools and pricing mechanisms
  • Experience / ability to estimate transmission and network upgrade costs
  • Experience with day-ahead and real-time scheduling and operation a plus
  • Experience with transmission modelling, load flow and nodal price modelling and related software platforms
  • 10 years experience with most recent two to three years focused on transmission systems planning and or operation while working with automated load flow tools and systems.
  • Familiarity with topology, operation of transmission grids and procedures for facilitating electric transmission transactions within various markets.
  • Experience and knowledge of sitting issues such as location and possible mitigation of chronically congested areas of the transmission grid
  • Working knowledge of the major transmission issues associated with local market structure such as congestion management
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems as focus, mathematics, applied statistics, computer science or data science, economics or commensurate operational experience. Advanced degree in technical fields is highly desirable

Position Summary


The Instrument and Control Engineer is a critical member of the Engineering Team based in Houston, Texas. This position is responsible for design of instrument and control systems solutions for the Hydrogen Liquefaction plants at all client locations. The Instrument and Control Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful transition from the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase to the operations phase of liquefactions plants throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. By partnering with the engineering, production, project management and field service teams, the Instrument and Control Engineer will develop thorough understanding of the performance requirements of the H2 Liquefaction Plant design and continually refine instrumentation and controls to enhance the reliability of the plants. This role is vital to support company's systems in the field while also furthering the company's reputation as the industry leader in Hydrogen Liquefaction and Hydrogen fuel cell applications. Experience in Oil and Gas, Hydrogen, LNG or related Hydrocarbon processes is required.


Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Instrument & Controls system engineering, providing guidance and advice on related issues.
  • Participate in Control System Design reviews.
  • Develop and approve specifications of process control equipment including valves, relief valves, process instrumentation, analytical systems, and DCS & PLC.
  • Perform system tests to ensure that software and automation solutions are effective and reliable both pre and post deployment.
  • Support the Maintenance & Operations teams with Instrument & Controls systems assistance to maintain the operability of liquefaction Units.
  • Refine system automation and software solutions based upon field data and stakeholder input.
  • Develop design documentation (installation details, instrument index, databases, I/O lists, panel drawings, wiring and loop diagrams, control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, junction boxes drawings and cable tray layouts, etc.).
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing of Process Automation equipment (DCS, Analyzers, plant equipment control systems)
  • Develop, read, and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Electrical Schematics as needed.
  • Relevant practical site commissioning experience, while not essential, would be of benefit.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Automation Engineering Manager.



Education and Experience

  • BS degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Chemical Engineering, or other relevant field of study
  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant work history; experience developing automation solutions for field applications preferred. Candidates with strong equipment manufacturing experience utilizing PLC applications will be given due consideration.
  • Experience in managing third party contractors.
  • Working knowledge of Engineering Standards for Instrumentation; API, ISA, PIP & NEC.
  • Prior Instrumentation and Control experience; BPCS, SIS with Oil & Gas, Chemical manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with:
    • PLC Programming - Ladder Logic, Functional Block Diagram, Sequential Flow Charts
