JOB DESCRIPTION

Chief Operating Officer - Oil & Gas - Major Oil Refinery - U.A.E - Owner / Operator

My client, an established Owner / Operator, are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to join their organization in the U.A.E. The role will support the functions of a Major Oil Refinery with a planned production of over 300,000 BBLD. This position requires a candidate from an Owner / Operator background, Major Operations Refinery experience and Executive / Director previous employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning of Operations management within the company.
  • Manage and oversee the performance and budgets of projects and operations for all departments.
  • Point of contact with the CEO to report on all technical and operational activities.
  • Ensure all department heads are fully informed of the strategic objectives of the division
  • Establish and monitor performance reporting systems.
  • Coordinate with the CFO on financial performance of company's operations including the bio refinery project and future operational assets.
  • Identify the training and developmental priorities in conjunction with the HR and ensure that staff are adequately skilled to meet the future requirements of the Division.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Minimum of 12 years Oil Refinery Operations experience with an Operating company.
  • Previous Executive / Director employment history.
  • Minimum 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in Operations Management in Crude Oil refineries, preferably with experience in the GCC/ Middle East.
  • A Bachelors Degree in an Engineering related subject.
  • MBA preferred.
