QHSE Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join our team and take responsibility for developing and driving the company's QHSE culture. This position will embrace the development, implementation and management of the QHSE system to support the business in its strategy of strategic growth through existing and future international operations. As a Senior Business Manager, lead the business ensuring adherence to the Company's core values.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Develop QHSE strategy and ensure it is implemented across the business

Overall responsibility for advising the business on all applicable QHSE legislation and monitoring compliance, ensuring policies, procedures and controls are in place
Ensure Project Emergency Response arrangements are in place, current and subject to regular tests

Motivate and coach the QHSE team to develop capabilities and raise the profile of the QHSE function across the business

Drive QHSE training within the company

Responsible for strategic Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities at all facilities and service sites

Write reports and professional correspondence with the ability to present effectively to clients, industry bodies and employees

Provide strategic direction, leadership and influence to the Board of Directors and

Management Team

Manage the ongoing QHSE procedures and plans specific to the needs of the business and review, monitor, analyse and report QHSE statistics, objectives and targets for business improvement

Lead high level investigations ensuring that accurate classifications, investigations and necessary actions are taken

Ensure key relationships are developed with clients, industry partners and appropriate professional bodies

Overall responsibility for gaining and maintaining approvals to ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and any additional applicable accreditations

Ensure that all audits of critical suppliers and internal processes are managed as to minimise risk and maximise return

Drive the development of QHSE competence standards and individual competence across the business

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:
Degree in Engineering/Science (Mechanical, Environmental Science preferred)

Preferred:
NEBOSH Diploma
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Essential:
A working knowledge of QHSE Systems, including international standards and certifications and in particular ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001
Proven track record in developing, implementing and leading health, safety and environmental risk management

SKILLS:
Essential:
Lead Auditor would be an advantage
Ability to coach and lead an established team of QHSE professionals
