We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager (with strong Subcontracts experience), to join our client based in Surrey to support a start-up Project in Scotland. You will collaborate with the Regional Subcontracts and Procurement Manager and Project Director for the Project Execution.

As the Project Procurement Manager:

• Act as a single point of contact between the Procurement/Subcontracts team and the Project Execution team

• Have oversight of and maintain Project Material Registry to plan and track equipment and material status including supporting site teams with delivery updates and status and alignment with the main site Subcontracts schedules.
• Prepare and issue inquiries, requisitions/Contracts, and purchase orders/Contracts according to the project schedule including payment milestones against key deliverables.
• Negotiate with suppliers to acquire globally competitive price, delivery, and contract terms
• Have oversight for the collaboration for Procurement Packages working closely with Expeditors, Inspection, Logistics and Materials Management to ensure the accurate level of interventions required are handled for approval of Purchase Order requirements against the schedule.
• Maintain Commercial interface with suppliers. Handle warranty claims, backcharges, and liquidated damages. Have experience in handling contract claims for prolongation, growth, delay analysis including management of correspondence between suppliers.
• Handle cost reporting inputs and budget for the Capital Procurement Scope and Contract Management of the project, including the equipment/materials/construction costs as well as the Procurement/Supply chain hours expended. Clarity of contract deliverables to support planning and execution teams is key to the success of this role.

You will have:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher, in Engineering or Business Management; with Quantity Surveying an advantage

Primary Duties

• Capable of participating in Factory Acceptance Test's.
• Participates in multi-discipline Engineering Design Reviews and provides all necessary process engineering input and support to close out of actions.
• Identifies a clear scope of work and supervises preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR). Responsible for planning/scheduling the process engineering activities and manpower resource. Provides necessary regular project controls/ reporting input to Project Management.

Petroplan are pleased to be recruiting for a number of Project Management positions for a well-respected EPC client of ours within the Oil & Gas industry.
Due to new project wins there are opportunities across a wide range of projects including carbon capture, biorefinery, hydrogen, refinery, petrochemicals, gas processing, LNG and upstream oil and gas (on and offshore).
Based in Surrey, reporting to the Director of Projects for the region the candidate will have the primary responsibility for the technical delivery of one or more projects across pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design.
The qualified candidate will have prior experience across one or more of the product lines outlined above with the capability to support projects from initial pursuit to closeout.

Key responsibilities to include:

• Assuring safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success.
• Delivery of expected results for financial, HSE, client satisfaction, budget and schedule performance.
• Serving as prime point of contact between the client and company, building strong working relationships.
• Serving as a proposal manager on pursuits, gaining executive approvals where required, through to final contractual negotiations.
• Assuring project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
• Management of project risk to avoid delays or reputational damage.
• Accountability for project financial performance
• Reporting of project status / forecast
• Delivering projects as sole project manager or as part of a larger delivery team
• Planning project execution and maintaining the plan as necessary and assures adherence to the plan. Keeps the client and company advised of project status.
• Train, develop & mentor the next generation of Project Managers

Project Manager

Petroplan are seeking a Project Manager to join a major client of ours operating in the Environmental Services bracket and possesses a global presence within the market.

The Project Manager would lead the delivery of a range of energy projects. Ensuring the objectives (safety, quality, commercial and timing) are all met in line through full implementation of project management processes.

Location: Midlands, UK

Core Competencies/Requirements:

• Project Management Qualifications preferred but not essential (e.g. Prince2)
• Some years' experience as a Project Manager, taking accountability for Engineering and Construction projects, ideally industrial/commercial/public buildings but also process and energy industries
• Technical competence with knowledge and experience of relevant thermal and electrical systems
• Commercial awareness (costing and performance models and estimation) pertaining to cashflow, budgets and risk
