Our Client an Oil and Gas Operator are looking for a Snr Project Control Manager. The role is primarily WFH (Remote working), with trips to offices in London, UK, South Africa and Mozambique. The role is offered on a Contract basis with contract through to December 2024 and a negotiable daily rate.

Job Overview;

As Project Control Manager you support the VP Project Controls and Project Managers, providing a comprehensive project controls service to subsurface and well delivery projects

Job Purpose:

  • Lead the project controls team to ensure accurate and timely project controls. Review teams plans frequently to lend assurance to the delivery of intended project objectives. Manage deliverables and milestones of the team and align both to established project controls and standards.
  • Prepare projects controls requirements for gate reviews and ensure adherence thereto.
  • Integrate activities between the various project controls disciplines including cost estimating, cost controlling and planning. Oversee the integration with the financial and commercial requirements.
  • Establishes and monitors performance against integrated control base (covering cost, schedule and scope). Maintain integrity of the control base by ensuring that commitments remain within the approved control base and that appropriate change management processes are timeously applied. Timeously indicate deviations from the control base.

Job requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Project Control Manager
  • Ideally have a Degree in a related subject and a Post Graduate Honours Degree would be an advantage
  • Ideally have experience working on subsurface and well delivery projects within a Project Controls role

RESPONSIBILITIES
Tenders

  • Develop Logistics cost models.
  • Cost Model covering Transportation Plan detailing all material and equipment to be shipped in support of the Project and providing associated budget and cost allocation.
  • Cost Model covering In Country Logistics activities in line with Project Operational planning and schedule. Cost model will cover port calls, shore bases, port and handling, personnel movements, in country freight forwarding and import duty and tax assessment.
  • Costing will be developed by issuing RFQs to Logistics providers who can support the Logistics activities and dealing with personnel in the region where the work will be executed.
  • As required, issuance of documents and procedures to support tender deliverable related to SCM Logistics.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the tendering activities.


Projects

  • Support shipment of material and equipment from global locations to nominated project worksites.
  • Manage each shipping file including issuance of work orders, commercial invoices, verification of shipping documents and supplier invoices.
  • Ensure all services are performed by nominated subcontractors as per the work orders.
  • Ensure all tools and systems are updated with shipping status and relevant documentation.
  • Support Project with shipping and transportation planning, solutions and cost analysis
  • Effective communication with Project stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Ensure regular communication with Logistics personnel in the region where project is executed.
  • Compliance with customs and local laws at origin and destination locations.


General

  • Promote HSE within SCM and ensure all Logistics activities are properly assessed and performed in safe manner.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with company standards.

  • Previous experience in a similar position.

This role is to support a global Workday implementation project, you will be responsible for supporting the programme with data orientated deliverables, specifically for data extraction, conversion, and migration work.   • Review and analyse business requirements and provide technical feasibility and estimates with regards to data access, extracts and transformations.

Our Client is looking for a Senior Cost Estimator to join them on a long term contract outside IR35. They are offering hybrid options with a negotiable rate.

Responsibilities -

  • Perform in an Estimator capacity developing estimates of manhours, costs, quantities, and scope for early project/ technology development phases for locations worldwide.
  • Develop estimating scope - paying particular attention to capturing all the differences between competing concepts - and for assuring estimates, including checking and benchmarking.
  • Develop the estimating scope, including bulk material quantities, infrastructure, degree of modularization, yard fabrication, transport and installation, site manhours (with consideration to proposed constructability methods and practices), commissioning, indirect labor, client costs, engineering and design.
  • Interaction with project team members from all design disciplines in different locations, including project management, client reps, and other 3rd party consultants.
  • Write estimate plans, review the scope of work, develop & assemble estimate data, review estimates (discipline, management, client), and write estimate basis document with qualifications & assumptions.
  • Maintain the cost and benchmarking databases with the latest costs/quotes, and for new types of projects.
  • Facilitate both internal and external estimate reviews and presentations with management, Study Manager, clients, and project team members.

Experience & Qualifications -

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas, Energy Transition or a related industry sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in EPC estimating practices and methods.
  • Experience with estimating for brownfield & North Sea Brownfield modifications and/or capital projects during FEED and Detail Design, with an appreciation of engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of development engineering, project management and construction management concepts.
  • Knowledge of the estimating process to develop conceptual estimates of material quantities, manhours, bottom-up including site and office manning, logistics and utilities, infrastructure scope, bottom-up CAPEX, client costs for worldwide locations.
  • Ability to develop cost estimates with limited (or no) engineering input using experience, historical data and in house software/databases as go-bys.
  • Ability to develop direct and indirect costs (including non-EPC costs, such as infrastructure, tie-ins, site prep, client costs, insurance).
  • Awareness of construction and installation methods to develop detailed P&C costs.
