Petroplan are looking to hire a Senior Materials Engineer on the Subsea side to work in Basingstoke.
This role will be on an initial 1 year contract basis.
Rate: Candidate to advise required rate per hour, our client will consider all reasonable rate expectations
60% of time will be remote working, when in the office free parking is available
The candidate will be part of the materials team and responsible for supporting the clients expansion in new subsea Projects. Supporting review and monitoring of currently ongoing EPC projects for Subsea, Umbilicals, Riser & Flowlines (SURF) developments.
Candidate must be highly experienced in subsea design and conversant with the main subsea materials and the relevant requirements including manufacturing and fabrication.
Knowledge in the areas of metallurgy, corrosion, welding, coating and cathodic protection are important for this position, as are familiarity with design approaches and installation / construction methods.
