MISSIONS/ SERVICE DIMENSIONS
During the FEED and EPSCC Phase, the Service holder is in charge to:
* lead and manage the civil and structure engineering team, composed of engineers with focus on the successful and timely project execution;
* provide support and expertise and contribution with regards to their discipline.

* provide support to, challenge the FEED Contractors in the optimization exercise in particular with regards to modularization philosophy.
* Promote alternatives design to optimize, cost, works and schedule;
* timely review and comment FEED engineering documents and consolidate comments related to civil and structural deliverables; liaise with other disciplines and/or entities as required when coordinating Company comments;
* provide expertise, to compare and evaluate the CPF-Wellpads FEED in particular in the evaluation of the modularization solutions;
* conduct studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to Project Management;
* ensure engineering consistency, constructability, operability and flexibility of the design solutions;
* ensure that the engineering activities related to civil - structure and seismic design matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost; * prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP STR and CIV in ep-derog system, follow up the instruction by Head Office experts to ensure timely answer; * provide prompt responses to engineering queries and unexpected technical issues to FEED Contractors;
* support preparation and participate in technical reviews and audits (PR, DER, etc�£�), provide answers and ensure timely implementation of the findings in discipline;
* ensure reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions
During the EPC Phase: The Service holder is in charge to:

Pipeline Engineering
Specific responsibilities during pipeline FEED Phase:
* To supervise and coordinate the pipelines engineering related activities performed by FEED Contractors for the Onshore Pipelines.
* To provide expertise with regards to his discipline.
* To provide support to challenge the FEED contractors and promote alternatives design to optimize the cost, work, and schedule.

* To ensure that the engineering activities related to the onshore pipelines matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, codes (DNV), and standards, contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project highly environmentally sensitive environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost.
* To prepare for issue the derogation requests to GS EP PLR, follow up the instruction from Head Office experts to ensure timely answer.
* To contribute to the studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to the Project Management.

Our client is currently at FEED stage on a project with a total Capex of around $10 billion. There are both Greenfield and Brownfield elements and multiple sub projects across Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Assets all of which are onshore.
On offer should be a long term contract that will renew annually with the intention being to retain the same engineer through the project lifecycle so experience across whole project life cycle is essential.

Define the estimating scope for a project and prepare an estimate plan of work, to identify all deliverables and interfaces with other disciplines to ensure planned completion and the estimate is developed in insufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice.

Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for two Senior Naval Architect's to come on board on a contract basis. The client is a tier 1 consultant EPC operating within both O&G and renewables. They have offices across Europe and the Globe and support one of the worlds biggest operators on all their global activities.
As such we are recruiting for a couple of Senior Naval Architects with a wealth of industry experience across projects including one of floating facilities, Fixed platforms, pipelines and subsea installation structures. The role will involve working directly in the Operations and Naval team and can be conducted remotely with the expectation of the odd trip to site/office.
The role is likely to be deemed outside of IR35 subject to a status determination.
