Senior Planning Engineer

Location: Basingstoke

Staff position

You will provide project planning and progress reporting services to assigned projects in accordance with the appropriate procedures and the Project Engineering Execution Plan or as directed by the Department Chief or Project.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain full familiarity with company policies, directives and procedures and suggest improvements to project planning methods, procedures and practices to Department Chief.
• Create project specific planning procedures where necessary and ensure procedures are followed by all members of the planning team.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and make presentations to clients as directed by the Department Chief.
• Maintain full familiarity with all relevant software applications associated with planning (including relevant parts of the EDMS and SAP if required).
• Provide supervision, advice and guidance to other planning engineers on matters of a planning nature as appropriate to assigned position.
• Ensure that the project planning network is set-up in such a way that it can exchange information with the Electronic Document Management System and SAP if required
• Maintain familiarity of allocated manhours for planning activities and number of manhours used to date. Advise Department Chief of future manpower requirements making every effort to stay within budget.
• Liaise with Document Controller on the set-up of the EDMS. Ensure that system is set up and used in such a way that it properly co-ordinates with the relevant planning systems.

• Primavera P6
• MS project
• MS office applications
• Experience and background working in Oil and Gas industry
• Degree Qualified
