This contractor position will be located in New Orleans, LA with business trips to Indonesia
Manages and oversees project controls functional area for very large multidisciplinary high risk capital engineering and construction projects from FEED to operations. Responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting. Manages project controls personnel. Responsible for establishing operating policies to mitigate risk. Provides guidance and consultation for project managers and corporate management. Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role will be a "hands on" position with the successful applicant undertaking the day to day cost engineering duties on the owner's team.

Manages and oversees scheduling function within project controls functional area for moderate to high-risk capital engineering and construction projects. Responsible for project planning and scheduling, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting. Manages planning team members reporting to the Project Controls Manager. Participates in establishing operating policies to mitigate risk. Provides guidance and consultation for project team members. Construction project accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and accruals
Coordinate accounting and financial activities and projects across multiple business units
Assist in preparing management reports and ad hoc requests
Review and perform reconciliations on service orders and purchase orders
Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
SAP Project module WBS codes review and reconciliation
Experience in technical accounting research, preparing financial statements and related disclosures
Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards (FAS)
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to analyze and interpret root causes of financial results, variances, and financial trends
Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Financial systems experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work with general office equipment such as computer and keyboard, facsimile machine, photocopier and calculator
