  • Sales and market development.
  • Establishing a new business area.
  • Growing life science business unit.

  • Strategically build and expand relationships with domestic USA biopharmaceutical industry R&D and manufacturing customers. Leverage personal industry contacts for lead generation and sales opportunities.
  • Drive sales initiatives for lab-scale bioreactor and manufacturing process control technologies
  • Work cooperatively with North American engineering and sales partners on forecasts, price quotations, negotiations, planning, demonstrations, installations, delivery logistics, customer support, etc.
  • Participate / accompany partner field staff to support sales, technical service, custom projects or other activities
  • Develop and execute sales strategy, plan, targets and budget for bioprocess market sales achievement. Provide leadership and motivation to partner companies to drive sales revenue to meet or exceed plans
  • Meet or exceed sales plans and other market development initiatives
  • Performs other duties as required, including sales forecasting.

Petroplan is recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of an Energy Logistics company with a global footprint. This role will oversee all accounting (including GL, Project, AP/AR, etc.) functions of the company and play a key part in cash forecasting and management of the business' primary financing including the strategic planning and budgeting processes.

The position is accountable for producing financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and comprehensive controls and budgets that mitigate risk, ensures accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and provide support to accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, project accounting and treasury functions and staff
  • Implement and execute loan and contract compliance for executed agreements
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
  • Analyze accounting and financial records such as bank statements, loan documents, budgets and derivative confirmations
  • Oversee and perform monthly closing process
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly, monthly, and annual financial statements (with footnotes), business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by local or federal regulatory agencies
  • Prepare reporting packages including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, and actual versus budget variances
  • Develop and maintain standardized practices, internal controls, and work towards the continuous improvement of financial operations and data integrity
  • Coordinate and plan annual internal and external audits; serve as company liaison with external auditors
  • Prioritize, focus, and initiate on key issues that could impact profitability and operational effectiveness of the organization
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop financial analyses to ensure planning, analysis, strategies, and projects are impactful and drive improved business performance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 10 years of in a senior accounting or financial management role; Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
  • At least 5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP and GAAS
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of treasury and financing
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing with internal and external customers
  • Results driven with strong planning and organization skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes the initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to influence, mentor, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
