Rock Physicist

JOB DESCRIPTION

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Oil and Gas Rock Physicist to join an international Oil and Gas operator. This role is a great opportunity for an individual looking to take their career to the next level and be able to travel internationally. Some of the following responsibilities and requirements are as followed, but certainly not limited to:

  • Develop reservoirs within oil and gas fields
  • Must understand rock physics and mechanical properties, and develop reports and models based off that
  • Ability to perform seismic rock analysis
  • Ability to set up petrophysical labs, lead projects, and supervise logging programs
  • Must read and interpret petrophysical criteria for reservoir parameters.
  • Ideal candidates will have 10 years of experience in this space working for one of the large majors (British Petroleum, Shell, Exxon, etc.)
  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in petroleum, geology, or geophysics, with a Masters or Ph.D. being preferred.
  • Ability to work and travel internationally
