Calibration Technician

Calibration Technician Responsibilities:

  • Test and calibrate controlling, indicating, and measuring instruments and devices, such as pressure transmitters, temperature controls, thermocouples, resistance temperature detector, thermometers, and power load measurement devices.
  • Selects and installs accessories such as adapters, indicating gauges, or holding devices. Test or calibrate fixture and connects the instrument or device to a lab primary standard.
  • Read quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices. Observes reading on meters and gauges and other displays and performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements.
  • Adjusts calibration mechanisms to obtain specified operational performance of device or instrument, by using hand tools, accurate measuring, calibrating instruments, and equipment.
  • Set controls to regulate factors such as current flow, timing cycle, pressure, temperature, or vacuum per specifications and activates test of calibration equipment.
  • Observes reading on meters, gauges, and other displays.
  • Performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements.
  • Repairs damaged instrumentation, if necessary, investigation of repairs from suppliers and supports equipment builds.

Additional Information:
· Calibration Technician works five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, excluding Company Holidays and Supplier paid time off (PTO)
· Company to provide laptop PC with all appropriate software
· Company to provide workspace for the Calibration Technician
· This is an 18 month Leased Worker contract
· Hours are 7:30 - 4:00 with a ½ hour unpaid lunch
· This is not a Union site
· The hiring manager would want to have a meet and greet as this is an integral support role for the lab.
